shadow's highest number day so far

Morning. ~O) :YMSIGH:
I'm feeling we are very borderline in this trial.
Since Shadow's numbers went above 100, all she does is sleep. She's not interested in playing.
Wish I could just stay in bed all day but I have to go work and get my "lovely" allergy shots.


Prayers for Max and Dale and all other beans and kitties needing healing.

Shadow - we KNOW you're extra sweet, you don't have to show us numbers! How 'bout gettin' back down just a bit or you'll have to get au juis again for a bit...

Rhainnon - BIG HUG! Hope YOUR shot-giver is as good as you learned to be with Shadow! I now give my little elderly neighbor her allergy shots every two weeks since her DH crossed....those needles are SO BIG and there's SO MUCH medicine in them compared to KT's 2 units with tiny needle. I can't believe I can do it - before our dx, I literally FAINTED just looking at a syringe!

Hi Rhiannon, Shadow is still doing well and her trial is on track. :mrgreen: I totally understand why you want to see lower bg, we get used to wanting green numbers even though the color ranges are arbitrary and lower blues are still normal bg. I looked at her lab results, most appear in normal range except albumin, triglycerides and platelets appear to be outside normal range, not sure what they mean. What do those tell you? Are they typical for Shadow or something new?
Msg from Jasper: Shadow you know the beans worry about things so give Rhiannon a treat and show her some lower numbers ok?

Shadow's numbers are creeping upward, but they are still within the range of a "normal" cat. Think green!

Rhiannon When you are Stressed, Shadow is stressed, so please try to be as calm as possible, they do pick up our feelings..Shadow Is Still in Normal Range,,Sooooooo DAY 9~~~~DAY 9~~~~

Rhiannon, Shadow is doing great! Like many have said to you, those "colors" are strictly for us, not the kitties.
She is in the proper number range. Also, meters vary greatly. I ordered the meter test sample, and it was "within range" with as many as 60 points. Don't worry.......she IS doing great. And as many also said.... ECAD ! Best wishes!

Happy Day 9! I wouldn't worry about not seeing green. Shadow is still in the normal range. I hope everything went well with your allergy shot.

HAPPY DAY NINE!!! Still looking good!!!!

I looked at her bloodwork. It looks really good!!! Her albumin and BUN may be elevated due to a little dehydration at the time of the blood draw. No biggie. BUN can also be a little on the high side of normal if a really high protein diet was just eaten.

Triglycerides can be high if she recently ate. Also, some diabetics have higher triglycerides. I'd just discuss with my vet and monitor it. If, on previous blood panels, it has trended on the high side, you might want to think about a lower fat diet.

I wouldn't worry about the platelets. Sometimes when they draw them or the sample sits, they can stick together and be difficult to tell apart and then the level can be low.

Day 9 and Shadow's doing fine! These numbers may be blue, but are still in normal range. Hang in there!

Forget about the pressure on the count down days Rhiannon, Shadow's surfing nicely on his own. Man! No juice, just surf on his own!
