Papaya is doing well the last few cycles with lots of blue, some green (maybe more unseen since she's doing a lot of late nadirs) and no (well, for her) huge bounces. She's quite consistently and steadily walking on her toes instead of her hocks and often comes out to the kitchen for supper.
I had the wrong date in mind - I was thinking that today would be one year for her on Lantus, but it was actually on Wednesday. I'm really glad I decided to treat the diabetes because we've had a year of snuggles and purrs that we wouldn't have had otherwise . . . and lots more to come, I hope! She is a head-scratcher with all her bounces and dives, but to see her feeling perky and slowly making improvement - especially considering one vet said the walking on her hocks was likely permanent nerve damage that would not be reversible - makes me happy. Papaya & I thank everyone for their help over the last year
