Yesterday was a generally icky day, Neko's worst cycle on Lev so far. I changed cartridges last night. No recap, it's too depressing, follow the link if you want to see how she did. At least she came down to blue overnight.

The bean's mood was SO much better this morning for AMPS. Another day where cats didn't wake me before the alarm. It's dark outside then so that must have something to do with it. I had set the alarm for an overnight test, but woke up before it so tested a little earlier than I planned. I sure hope my body isn't getting used to waking up for rowing, cause the season is almost over. Just a couple more next week and that's it.

Neko's feeling better today, less anxious about food. Still keen and CPC and making sure Theo's bowl has a polished shine to it, but that's all normal number stuff. It's another sunny day so Neko's out in her solarium basket, although the sun hasn't warmed that room up yet. It will soon. And I just hae to keep the patience pants on waiting for the depot to refill from the furshot.

The beans have exciting plans to rent a jack and replace a post in the carport. And then I'm meeting someone who is bring up my strips order from across the border. 750 ought to keep me out of trouble for a while. Happy Caturday everyone!

Re: 10/26 Neko AMPS 131 +3 210

Oooh, congratulations on the nice blue start to Neko's Day, Wendy! Hope the cartridge change helps, + depot filling, too. Cute, Sun-kist Neko's chillaxing, holding out for warmth. Glad to hear Neko's doing better, too - & - you got to sleep in :-D

Replacing the carport post does not sound like a relaxing weekend project. Seems like there might be some @#&*@ involved - at least there would be at our house!  And 750 strips - that should hold for what - a few weeks??? ohmygod_smile

Thank you for keeping us company last night + all the great info shared. I've been so excited to ask you about something you said in our condo yesterday:

To answer the questions: maintaining numbers in normal range means 50-120. If you take a look at the SS of an OTJ cat like Lucky you'll see his last few reductions were all because he spent 7 days in normal numbers. Lucky was bouncy at first, but at some point he stopped bouncing. I've seen other cats go OTJ by earning reductions by going under 50 all the way to zero.
Does that mean that some bouncy cats can go OTJ without leveling out, but by continuing to earn reductions like regulated (non-bouncy) cats? If i understood you correctly, that makes me soo excited - & much more hopeful!

 Sorry to hijack your condo  But thanks again!!! :-D AND - I hope Neko decides to come down to that AMPS range & surf today!

Re: 10/26 Neko AMPS 131 +3 210

Hey, Wendy -

Sorry to hear about your sleep cycle going wonky on you. Fairly often I'll start to get my days and nights mixed up (second childhood?) and it sure takes a toll on my mood (and everything else). I hope that levels out for you soon!

Whoa - 750 strips?! I buy 150/trip, which Doug thinks sounds like a lot. But, when Hershey pulls shenanigans I may go through more than I planned. Know what I mean? And, I guess getting them from over the border you have to plan for longer. I wish I could go over the border to get my Lev. I hear it's much cheaper for y'all!

Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Hi Wendy,
I hope Neko's depot fills soon and she comes back down soon.
I'm glad she's feeling better today.
Lovely weather today.
I got to keep the apartment windows wide open, and Ginger enjoyed the fresh air and outside smells & sounds.

Yes - back to blue! Detailed grooming session in progress after the +9 snack. Kitties are happy again.

Mission strips pick up completed. Post replacement project, not so much.  The original post probably went in when wood was produced in imperial sizing. Back when a 6x6 post was really 5.5x5.5, but now with metric in Canada, that same post is 5 15/16 x 5 15/16 inches. Problem is, the metal bracket at the bottom is sized for imperial. ohmygod_smile So, the jacks are holding up the corner, and a freshly shaved post is waiting for paint to dry. Thanks goodness rental store is closed for Sunday so no extra cost for jack rental.

@Suzanne - Both Neko and I are happier when she is blue. :-D This is just the final stage of the post replacement, and there was a @#&*@ moment when we first tried to fit the post into the old metal bracket. It was going far too easily until that moment. 750 strips ought to do for a while. The friend who sometimes picks them up for me is 8 months pregnant, and might not be going down south for a bit. I answered your other question in your condo.

@Nancy - Paws crossed but it is looking better so far.

@Michelle - Both Neko and I are feeling better today! I've changed into the relaxed fit patience pants today - feels much better.

@Libby - Good to hear from you. The only good thing about the wonky sleep cycle is that that random wake up wasn't too far from when nadir sometimes is. I figured if I'm awake, might as well test and then no alarm to waken DH. I get the 250 deal (buy 4 get 1) deal on the Glucocard 01 strips from ADW. I normally get 500 at a time, this was a bit excessive but now I can relax for a while. It's about a 4 hour round trip if I have to do the travel myself but someone was coming up for a hockey game at a rink 15 minutes away so easy peasy.

@Mariko - She's heading back down and I'm happy with a fairly blue cycle at this point of the depot filling. We had lots of fresh air sniffing here too, but it seems to be cooler and clouding over now.

@Carla - Blue is much better than that colour that won't be named. Got my paws crossed on the new cartridge and no more fur shots!

Nicely done, Neko! I'm glad you are feeling better today. :-D :-D :-D Very exciting about the jack! And look at all the handsome black cats who came by your condo today. :-D :-D

Hi Wendy! So does that mean that ADW does NOT ship to Canada, or do you just pick them up to save on shipping? So far I've been able to keep myself in Relion Prime strips but I'm getting low and was going to look at other options in case nobody gets across the border much in the too-quickly-approaching winter months! 750 strips would be a very nice feeling to have on hand!
