HI Dyana - are you ready for the storm? It's supposed to be worse than Irene and worse we've had on the east coast. Get all your stuff ready. The first thing I thought of was keeping the insulin cold with the power goes out. nailbite_smile Have a good day, and get your non-perishables!

Hope you guys are having a good day. Guess you all will have the weekend to get ready for Frankenstorm...
my DD had snow and cold in Oregon and I guess that's the storm that is coming east and will meet up with Sandy somewhere on the East Coast.....We had a lot more wind than usual here on the west coast of florida...I guess it's Sandy. Seems as if it is a storm to be watching closely for sure!

I heard batteries are already sold out and the grocery stores are a zoo (that's typical :roll: around here before a storm). Humans :?

I told my elderly neighbor that I would go to some kind of a concert with her tonight. So, I can't stay around here, but J.D. is cooperating :)

Man, it's humid. I hate humidity!!!

Oh my! A storm! Is it normal to have storm at this time of year? Please stay safe! I hope it's over fast & no damage to the cities.
Yeah, no batteries arh? It's the same here. we are not worried about batteries, but you got to see people crowded in the supermarket buying all the groceries & food in there. :lol: :lol: Hongkong is very safe, food chain are open even when the typhoon number three is hoisted. But still, people panicked when these thing happen.

I hope J.D. gives you some more blue soon. Hopefully the storm won't be as bad as they are saying.

I hope it's not as bad as they say, too. I don't think we can have a generator in a condo. Don't they have to go outside? I don't think that would be allowed on our little tiny decks. I did go buy a wet/dry vac, and a large ice chest thing, for just in case. I wonder how hard it will be to buy ice :-| if it was needed.
 
I went food shopping after work today...not because of the panic, but because my Kohl's cash and Kohl's coupon overlapped for just today :oops: ...so, since I was out on Route 1, I decided to food shop at the same time. The stores were insane. It had better not be what they are predicting...but, so far, we only have a 70% chance of rain anyway! Still, DH is going to pick everything up off the basement floor tomorrow...how weird is it that this storm is falling on the one year anniversary of last year's freak blizzard??

Nice on the almost blue for J.D. He is one of those aim to please kitties. Glad he's cooperating. Sending be safe vines to you, J.D. and Ginger for the storm. I don't have a generator either and yes they do have to be outside. People have died or started fires running them in basements etc. Amy I thought of the same thing that Sandy is coming on the anniversary of last year's storm. Hope it doesn't amount to much for you Dyana.
