good morning lantus land!

nanner in paw, grin on fuzzface...binks is feeling good this am.

i, on the other hand, due to the 4 am hairball dousing combined with the 6am discovery of two exceedingly ugly banana slugs in the outdoor water dish, am not contemplating breakfast anytime soon. what unpalatable discoveries to begin a tuesday morning.

fed the boy some tuna oil with breffis #1, and am happily heading btb.

But Binks....on your mama's NECK at 4 am? Oh nevermind the time, no matter what time it was it would not have been pleasant. Sorry Celi...that is downright disgusting!!
And EUUUUwwww on the slugs too. Enjoy your btb! You deserve it this morning!

geez! What a morning for you.. ugh on the hairball, and a bigger ugh on those darn slugs. gawd I hate those things... and we have way too many of them.... just one big fat EEUUWWWWWWW!

and hear! hear! on the banana slug vote, michelle...not many uglier beasties roaming the NW than they. (roaming= inching disgustingly along on their own little slimy path)

it was not really thoughtful of me to share all that nasty info before a lot of people had breakfast.

so it's not like me to be melancholy...but today is Seandor's birthday...the 18 yr old boxer we lost in january...and binks and i would like to share this hauntingly beautiful rendition of rainbow connection that sarah mclachlan recorded prior to her mother's passing with our lantus friends in memory of sean and all of the furbabies who have gone ahead.

Aww, thanks for the song Celi, and the pics. I'm sure you miss Sean terribly. Boxers are wonderful dogs. Very empathetic of Binks to join you in being blue - what a sweet guy. Hope you're getting lots of love from him today, too, especially after that nasty gift at 4am.

Nice easy drop there for Mr. Binks today!! Glad he is feeling well. Try to have a good day even though it is always difficult when there is a birthday or the
day of transition of those we love who have gone ahead.

well, didn't expect him to be back in such good numbers so quickly...be interesting to see what he has up his little furry sleeve for the latter portion of this cycle.

going to attempt the big change-out of the computer adapters, so if we seem to disappear into cyberspace , no worries...we are well supplied with pokie/checkie/varied-carbie stuff. it will hopefully be very temporary...i'm fascinated by binks, but i can't keep missing out on all the happenings in LL ...i've become addicted to y'all !

uh, oh...look out lantus land...the transition seems to have worked! no telling who's condo we'll be invading now...once i get used to the speedier 'puter.

yeah, i absolutely love sarah...what a voice. and what an appropriate sentiment about what's on the other side...
and boxers are great pals for multi-faceted folk like me...stately and noble one minute...then goofy as all get out the next. :lol:

also, binks didnt seem to pick up on the color of the fellow who the song was written for...but maybe he'll honor kermit soon.

now to hit some condos...

wouldn't surprise me if this guy has plans for me tonight.

guess staying up is what i deserve for giving the girls hi-test, great smelling gravy food while binks watches and compares it to his boring watered down friskies..in addition to the fact that they get to roam the great outdoors whenever they want...and he's stuck inside.

poor, poorly treated man-kittie :lol:

oh, kim...banana slugs are unbelievably revolting. first time i saw them was when i went to Oregon State (my first real possum experiences too)...but now for some reason they are all over this area too. oregon ones are larger...but the 2 this am were each about 6 inches long. eeeecccchhhh!!

jaye...to me, boxers are the "clown princes" of the dog world. we bred them for years...only ever had one pup that was hyper and not well-mannered and kind-tempered. i promptly gave that pup to my mother-in-law for her birthday :lol:

Bleech on the slugs! My only experience w/ the banana slugs was when a friend stepped on one, and then stepped on the sleeve of my shirt that had fallen on the ground. It took 6 washings to get it out of my shirt!!!
