Hello!!

Billie is doing well overall today! Her appy is great. She seems to love the Instinct rabbit. Unfortunately, she had diarrhea twice - once last night and once this morning - probably from the new ABs. Poor girl - she can't catch a break. But, she has been all clear for about 12 hours now, so hopefully she's okay. I increased her to 1.75 since she was running much too high.
Tricia and Ruth, thanks for the visits and ideas last night! Billie does get fortiflora, although she was boycotting it when she wasn't eating a couple days ago. I thought she might have developed an aversion to it, but she likes it again, thank goodness. She won't eat pumpkin or baby squash. I'll have to try Metamucil or something if the diarrhea keeps up.
As for pilling... angry(2)_cat Billie does not do well with pills. She doesn't like pill pockets, and I have never been able to get her to swallow a pill, even wrapped up in a bunch of melted cheddar  So, I crushed the Pepcid and hid it in a bit of Vaseline and she licked it off my finger that way for a couple doses because she loves Vaseline. By the third dose, she caught on, but since her appy is good, I don't think she needs it anymore. Also, Vaseline can be a laxative so I definitely want to avoid that with her diarrhea. I hope I didn't make it worse.
I can crush up a pill and syringe it with some water if necessary. She hates getting liquid meds, but it works at least. I do give her a treat (lately, ham) after her meds to get the yucky taste out of her mouth. So, after her ABs today, she devoured her ham snack, gave me a dirty look, then went under the bed for two hours. But, she came to sit with me after that, so I guess she forgave me. Only 3 more doses...
I hope everyone is doing well today! Sending lots of vines to all the cats and beans needing vines.
