Not shocking that Shooter had a much higher bounce from that 28 than he does from the higher lows. Hoping this afternoon he starts to come down and stay more down again.

I put the feeders out before leaving for work yesterday morning and as suspected (because of my cat spy cam) Shooter ate his when it opened and then jumped up on the counter to eat Pepper's when it opened. :banghead:

Yikes on that 28. Do you think you should have taken a full .25 unit reduction?
Sorry Shooter is a food thief!! ;)

Wendy and Diane said the same thing but I think I might have been a little heavy handed in the dosage at times and he may have gotten a few closer to 4.75. In hindsight, I'm not sure why I decreased from 4.75 to begin with because he didn't go under 50 3 times. I think part of it was because on 10/9 I was up almost all night to keep him from going too low and was exhausted the next day.

I’ve given reductions for the same reason, Heather. Sometimes when I’m spending three or four nights in a row or through during a week…staying up literally all night long feeding Ivy every 20 minutes to half hour even though she hasn’t gone under 40 on a handheld, I just feel like if all I’m doing is propping her up and I can’t sleep at all and can’t function then it’s just too much insulin. So I’ll take a reduction and see where things shake out.

Sometimes you just have to do it so you can gain a little ground back and get yourself and them back in a groove where you can function to take care of them.

But that’s just what I’ve had to do on occasion. The sleep deprivation is a real and huge problem.:blackeye::blackeye:
 
28 is an extreme dive, for sure! :eek:
Hope he clears the bounce soon.
But he's sneaky food thief! Sounds like he knows the drill well now :rolleyes:
Poor Pepper was probably like o_O where's my snack!?

Day 2 with the auto feeders and Shooter getting both again. Pepper isn't anywhere to be found. He's most likely sleeping on my bed. I might just start putting out one for Shooter and not worry about Pepper. They both get lunch and Pepper isn't diabetic so it's ok.
