At almost +9 Max was at 101 and he has more than doubled his BG since then. I think I just might get a bounce for my birthday! He started meowing over 1/2 an hour before I could test and feed him. Not much sleep last night for me. Yet I even was awake before Max started talking.

happy birthday elise! perhaps Max will give you a pass to go out today - can you get to a spinning class on saturdays?

i teach small groups in elementary special ed, except for one group of 1st graders that i teach math to everyday that are not spec ed kids. The class is a first/second grade split and i take the 1st graders for part of the math class. I can't even imagine being the classroom teacher - not the teaching part, but the managing behavior part. It's like "whack a mole" trying to keep a lid on little kids when you've got behavior issues in your group, which are basically in every classroom. I have a one on one with a little kindergartener with autism right now - i'm with him 1.75hrs a day which is the longest i'm with anyone this year. I love the variety, although it's pretty much all intensive reading and math that i do at the moment. Last year i was with almost all 3rd-5th graders. For whatever reason, I'm with all K-2nd grade this year.

are you retired or just not working at the moment?

Thanks Angela, Marilyn, and Laura. Max it seems has decided to bounce. I fed him really low carb paw lickin chicken so I don't think it is a food bump. I'm going to go to spin class though so he gave me that and perhaps I'll be able to have an afternoon and evening away. We'll see.

Happy Birthday, Elise! How nice of Max to give you a permission slip to go to spin class. I know how much you enjoy that. I hope he comes down just a little and surfs safe blue for you tonight so you can do a little celebrating.

Thanks for the birthday wishes Julie, Tricia, Wendy, Deanna, and carla. It's been an all pink day for Max despite not eating much. Something tells me it will continue tonight.
