Yesterday was...... RECOVERY DAY in MannieLand. Rumor has it that the Blue Mannie Group was performing live at the Potter's Wheel in Tess's Greenhouse... to be followed up with a tour of the Green Lagoon. What a great day for Mannie. We had been red and pink and yellow the day before, only to have him turn it around into a great blue ad green day. Quite the slide from his AMPS yesterday. Zener would be so proud. We hope for a great day today - lots of Blue for eh Blue Mannie Group. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D It has been a while since Mannie had to defend his nanner stash.... I thought Elsa had finally given up trying to grab one for herself. Apparently not. :o :shock: It was time to test Mannie yesterday, his PMPS. I had picked him up, and could see out of the corner of my eye Elsa... slinking along the ground, watching Mannie, hoping he wouldn't notice... ever so cautious.... then a slither into the nanner pile. BRAVE GIRL!. In the meantime I got him tested, was about to give his his usual post test hug and scritch when he bolts out if my arms, makes this and dash to the nanners. he stops about 2 feet from the pile,the shoulders are hunched up, the head is down, and the STARE begins.... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Elsa in the meantime has ceased all activity, slowly turns to look at the naner king, and........... ZIP! she is gone. oh :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: What was so funny was his frozen stance ad the GLARE. daggers were flying. so while I got his shot and fuds ready he proceeded to reclaim his nanners. all that is but the two the remain where DGS placed them. ahhhhh..... cool. This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a few cuddles. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty through Friday - I will try and get to condos once DGS has gone home for the day. Today we will hopefully visit a river. Paws crossed that Mannie gives us a permission slip... I will miss you guys, and your furkids! Be good kitties! think blue, think green! :cool:

Hey everybody!! it's a trip to Rusty's today - the beans are gone, he has the whole house to himself! We can chillax on the radiators, and plan for the full moon and Halloween parties. We gots to do that! Halloween is such a special one. I remember last years! A traveled all over the country - it was so cool! So anyways --- off to Rusty's! You guys ready? ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: here are some photos from my and DGS's adventure yesterday: swimming and Sammamish River. Nicholas and I had a great day - swimming in the morning, watching the salmon jump and the ducks quack at the Sammamish River after that. In between he napped.... WOO HOO on the salmon: that was great: he waited and watched for them, squeals of delight when they jumped. Fun thing was he knew they were there - remembered from our last trip there, and kept telling me Fish before we even saw any. awesome!I've also included the FaceBook links for anyone that wants to see all the photos: Swimming and Sammamish River

Oh my gosh that is a GREAT nanner story! I love the stare down, Mannie not even waiting for scritches. I laughed! Boy is he a possessive kitteh! How many nanners are in a pile? I'm glad Elsa is keeping him on his toes, brave little girl! I love the GLARE - it's amazing how you can see emotions on a cat's face and learn their moods so quickly.

Great pics - so neat DGS remembered fish! It's neat when they get old enough to start remembering things they've seen/experienced before. Warms the heart!

Yo Mannie, I'm for it! I always hid in the sewer on Halloween - this is my first one with beans and friends! I can't wait to warms by the radiator. Maybe I'll be a black cat this year! LOLSSS! ~ grab me at the back door, Leo

Morning Michelle and I laughed and laughed :lol: visualizing the Mannie stare at Elsa and the hunched shoulders. If you could make a cartoon story book from it, would be so funny. What a nice slide yesterday and the greens. Zener might even start giving stars for the best slide. Have a great time today and wow on the ducks and the salmon, real live salmons, huh! How fun for Nicholas to see all that yesterday and what nice memories. I have to see the videos and pics, thanks.

Morning Lisa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the nanner story - it has been a while since he has had to defend them. I remember when I gave them more last Christmas. Each kitty got two. Mannie went to each one of their piles, whacked the cat, took the nanner, added it to his pile, and spent the rest of the day defending his new acquisitions. He has been known to hear someone in his stash when he is outside. He will run into the house to chase away the other. The part I love is that GLARE, and the body position, and the fact he does not move, just glares. :lol: :lol: -- THX too on the pics. The remembering of the fish was just so great. He was so excited to see then fly.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Oh yes, that was SO FUNNY! It has been a while since I have seen that glare. Elsa just hasn't tried to play with his stuff until yesterday. yes on the slide yesterday - :shock: :cool: Zener should do that! Starts on good slides. he is the master after all. :-D Yes on yesterday too - the river was such a great time yesterday for him - he loved it. The salmon were incredible. BIG ones - tow footers easy, and they were jumping right in front of him. AWESOME!

Maggie - it will be the best! I loves it there, and time to party plan for the big ones: full moon, and Halloween. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! See you at the curb ~ Mannie

Hey Mannie- I see you are doing your typical food spike but at least you are still in the blues. Let's stay there for the day and surf without all the drama.

Have a great time w/ DGS Michelle. We woke up to about 3 inches of the white stuff all around. Sidewalks were too warm so they are just wet but it stuck to the grass and cars etc. Supposed to be a chilly day. Glad for the late start to work (10am) but not looking forward to working until 8pm. Thur are my long days. Oh well.

Fur Ball got up for breakfast and then went back to bed. I should have joined him. :lol: :lol: :lol: Gonna have to disturb him to make the bed though. Poor spoiled furfat. :smile:

Some very nice BLUES for Mannie today, especially after last nights action and all the good fuds he got. I too had to laugh at the nanner defense story. Poor Elsa that she doesn't even get one of them. Is Mannie bigger than her? or just bossy? :lol:

Enjoy the day with DGS, it looks like a great one to be outside here.

DGS and I had a great day at the Beckler River today. It is one I have taken him to before, as he really likes it there. As does his grammie :-D The day turned out to be nice there. We ah sun, a few clouds, a little fog, and BRRRRRR it was COLD. I think it was 35 on the river. And the river! COLD, fast, furious and beautiful. I also took a little trip up to another spot we have been to over this summer, just to take a peek. What a beautiful drive - snow on those mountains. All in all a very fantastic day. I will post some photos in Mannie's condo tomorrow.

Hi Roni - that you did! I am so glad that he listened to his Auntie Roni. :-D and yes, Mannie won the nanner showdown - HAHA: he usually does. THX on the pics, and DGS - we had such great time today. YAY!

HI Amy - it was such a great amps! But I am glad he came up some. I had hoped he could surf the blues through to pmps, but no. back to the yellows. at least it wasn't like yesterday :shock: . I can deal with the yellows. :-D

Hi Karen - that he did, and I was glad to see he stayed blue most of today. That was wonderful, no major spike after his foray into the greens last night. I so hope the yellows stay and then come down: not the other direction! THX on DGS - we had a great time! A mtn river adventure. BRRRR there at 35. but it was gorgeous! NICE on your snow! Hi Wendy - Today was great! Elated her that after those greens ad those HC fuds that he surfed the blues today. That alone is progress. YAY!! Now I hopee he doesn't bounce from it all. Sometimes I will get that a day after he's been green. go figure on that one. Oh yes on the nanner thing. Mannie is a bit bigger than her, and he has this stance indicative to his breed, so that when he stands his rear end is a bit higher, And it he's staring it is rather intimidating. Plus Elsa is a bit of a wuss, so that doesn't help. He wins every time! HEY - COOL on your sleep permission slip last night.
