good morning, fellow dancers...

i started to do the recap here in the post, but have been booted out twice, so i'll try it when infernal machine is more cooperative.

binks is chatty this am...up early...and looks like a good way to start the morning. 2 p's evident so far.

It occurs to me, given the culinary lengths some of us go to, that it might be easier if we were to choose less demanding masters...say martha stewart or gordon ramsay... :lol:

I dunno. I always like lox and bagel in the morning!! Maybe it was the wrong kind of fish you served Binks this morning -- or the absence of cream cheese and bagel. Oh well....I suspect Binks may be in the blues shortly.

i think he's got a busy day planned too. however, he looked like he was trying to CAC up a furball again, so i took pat's advice and gave him some tuna oil...think i'll wait till +2 to test so he can chill a little.

i am now officially paranoid about kitty pukus... :smile:

eta: note to self: take the advice at the time it is given...and maybe you'll save yourself a little stress, and more importantly, save the cat discomfort. DUH, Celi!

unfotunately, he's still kind of looking like he might have a bit of stomach upset. hope i'm wrong and it's just a figment of my paranoia...

well wishes, soothy spell, tuna oil, or paranoia gone back into hiding (tee-hee)...whatever the reason, his uneasiness seems to have passed.
which brings us to: 4 p's in place, and throwing nice numbers.

here's what's new with me:
in the last few days i have begun having dreams about LL kitties and beans (not THOSE kind of dreams!)
last night i dreamed that a group of buyers were at MJ's house looking for kittens. they were completely in awe of butthead's conformation, and ready to broker a deal, when donovan appeared. no offense, here, butthead...but they all started clamoring that they wanted kittens with donny as the sire. when MJ tried to explain that this wasn't possible...it turned into an almost-brawl...and after much argument, she finally had to ask them to leave. thru the whole brouhaha...donny just sat there enjoying the recognition of his superior attributes...
i woke up smiling at the "donnybrook dream"

eta: i don't even know if you breed butthead, mj...but you know....it was a dream...

Celi, I type up my recap in a separate program, then copy and paste. Next day I just change the number and copy again. Way less typing!

Binks - looking mighty fine this morning. Mannie on the other hand decided to make up for yesterday and visited the pink floor...

is the weather as nuts there in Idaho as it is here in Washington? just watched the neighbor's deck umbrella blow own the street. :shock: Guess I had better go get mine before it does the same...

note to Ann: always on top of things - I on the other hand typed that whole laundry list out this morning, line by line... aiyee!, and when we we ever learn... how simple to type it somewhere else and edit, copy and paste. well - duh!

Hey Binks - the gang is going to Lanky's to hunt BUGS (cool!) - you wanna come? I can get you in the roadster - though these cross winds today have me driving a little crazy.... uhhhhh - more so than normal.... ~~ Mannie

Ha. Funny. Actually I bought Butthead as a whole kitten, hoping to earn his titles before he was neutered, and I briefly entertained the idea of allowing him to breed someone from a local cattery. He had other ideas, however. Started getting very irritated and rambunctious in the show ring when he was an older kitten, and several judges suggested neutering him ASAP. Alas, it didn't help. Butthead just *loves* people.... everyone except cat show judges :roll: And Butthead "pretends" to spray like a whole male :o - but thankfully nothing ever comes out! It's just his little Happy Tail Dance, I guess.

Donovan also came to me as a whole kitten, and he arrived on the same day that a stray Momcat who had been hanging around gave birth to 4 kittens. Sadly, Momcat took them away and hid them somewhere (still returning regularly for her food), and several weeks later brought them back to us, one by one. Chaos is an understatement. Those kittens had been away from human contact and really flipped out, but we managed to grab them all. One in particular I had to keep from running into the street, and she bit me badly. Hello tetanus shot. Donny was ~3 months older than them (3 girls + 1 boy), and as he matured, started getting *ahem* ideas. I saw him try to mount them a few times, but he wasn't successful. He still did it occasionally after everyone had been fixed. I have to say, I would love a houseful of Donovans, but he's a one-of-a-kind Whoops.

Nice to see you wearing the sexy BLUE shoes, Binks.

no goodies, miriam...i was just whining about the feeding waltz we've been going thru around here...the adoptocats were sooo grateful for company and canned food in the beginning, they fell to happily. now they know they can get me hopping...and with 3 different foci...binks' FD, then annie underweight, and keeping smudge trim...they got me busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

i suspect binks got a lick or two of the tuna salad when i went to grab smudge from a cat fight...there was a cucumber cube on the floor and he was looking mighty smug. guess next test will tell. it had mayo and vinegar & oil, so may stall his numbers a little.

eta: in the dream, MJ...you were masterful at ejecting the unwelcome guests! soon as we have a paarty planned...you gotta come be the bouncer. :lol:

and michelle...YES on the wild windy weather. blew a big branch out of the tree out front.

and pat...only matters if we're "dancing as fast as we can", right? :-D by the way, "loads" of thanks to you...binks just delivered a moving tribute to the tuna oil. :lol:

good tip on the recap, ann...and my morning routine generally starts with me standing in front of the espresso machine hollering "hurry!"

he's still got it...

regarding the morning humor thing, at a long ago board meeting of the voices in my head, we unanimously voted the one with the sense of humor as the early riser. that way the day starts off on a light note, and the rest of us get to sleep in. :lol:

well...... you could stall and see if it goes up. It is more or less in line with what he's been doing today. No expert here, but I'd shoot. that's just me. maybe wait 15 and see if he is up, then decide? you home etc to watch tonight?

You can shoot a dropping number. I stopped you the last time since you didn't have that much experience with handling low numbers. As long as you feel confident in your ability to manage the numbers with food, SHOOT!

oops...forgot his lil green grin...

here's something i stumbled onto that is probably worthless to most, but...i got 5.5 oz cans of friskies prime fillet in gravy, but the gravy doesnt separate easily like the pouches. yesterday i looked in the drawer and found my old hand held potato masher, which is flat, fits perfectly inside the can, and when you press down...presto...gravy on the top...chunkies at the bottom.

Great job, Celi. Gosh I HATE going to work where I miss all the excitement!!! Look at Binks go...what an awesome PMPS. I'll probably go to bed early but DH will be around tonight if you need condo company :lol: :lol:

Binks spent the entire night next to me in bed, which was a sweet change from his usual- sleeping on the foot of my bed or in his swanky little cat bed. then he woke me at +10 by yacking up a hairball on my shoulder and neck. i'm well pleased that he is assiduously grooming again, but eewww.

i've never enjoyed any of my alarm clocks, but this has to be one of the LEAST enjoyable to date.

to paraphrase Elvis Costello:

"Binksy-son, thy aim is true..."
