I guess Trix decided to go for one of her mini-bounces this morning, but has made short business of it.

I'd say Petey is running at about 70%. He has definitely improved, but is not completely himself. When I got up this morning, he was up and about, sniffing other cat butts, and waited for breakfast with everyone else; however, he did not comment on how long it was taking me as he usually does. He ate a small amount on his own (more than he did last night), and we did assist with a little more baby food. He's enjoying attention and petting and is purring.

Zen, once again, has the snuffles. Someone, please put my out of my misery!

I'm still a bundle of nerves here...we've never had a such a tough year with the cats before. We've had things pop up, but they always ended up being isolated incidents. I haven't had to assist feed a cat since 2002, and now it's been 2 different cats in less than 3 months - amongst all the other issues we've had. I don't get it...I'm starting to feel as if I'm doing something wrong in all my efforts to do everything right :YMSIGH: .

Hi guys .. nice short bounce for trixie! Don't think that you are doing everything wrong with your kitties .. We can all tell how much you are doing for them .. life happens and we deal with what we are dealt .. it does and will get better, just hang in there :YMHUG: have a great day!

I don't know, but I've been told...that it isn't possible to do EVERYTHING right. I just HATE that! I think you're scoring pretty high, though.

Oh Amy, hugs to you. I can definitely relate to what you're going thru. Leo hadn't had a vetty visit in years and now we are on vet visit number 7 since the beginning of september. But I'll keep you and your fur family in my thoughts just as you've done for Leo and I. Hope your day gets better and better.

(((Amy)))); with cats, when it rains it pours and the more cats you have, the harder it pours. :lol: :lol: :lol: You are the BEST bean and I know you are tired and worried. But they are all getting better, even Petey. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers and sending healing vines.

Nice PMPS for Trix. I feel bad...I'm spending all of her condo time talking about Petey, but it really helps relieve the stress!

Petey asked for for food for breakfast and dinner, as well as a mid-afternoon snack. He ate an OK amount - not a whole lot, but more than yesterday. He definitely is behaving more like "Petey", although he is not 100% for sure. He's becomming more talkative again, and asking for more attention.

I'm really pretty suspicious that food has been the cause of this. For my kibble-crowd, I feed Orijen, and since there are so many of them, I buy a really large bag. I'm wondering if the kibble started going bad, and that's what led to all of this. The only one who hasn't been affected at all (anti-jinx, knock wood, cross fingers) is Trixie, because she gets absolutely no kibble (except for the occasional "steal"...she is FAST!). Mario was the least affected, and he only gets a few kibbles as treats. Frankie, Noah, and Zen were all pretty similar, falling between Mario and Petey. So, I tossed all that was left of the old bag, washed all the containers with the diswasher on the hottest setting, and started out fresh today. And from now on I'm only going to buy the small bag. EVeryone was much more receptive than they had been, sooo....who knows for sure, but I really hope this chapter is closed.

Personally, I'm still a bundle of nerves, pretty much terrified of what we'll stumble across next...feeling a little gun shy, I suppose.

YAY Petey!!!!

I wonder if you've hit upon the issue, Amy. Makes sense to me......the oils in the food can become rancid which could make them sick.

I hope that is what it was, all will be better, you can breathe!!

I would never have thought of oils going rancid in dry food, but of course they do! Smart, Marje!

Glad Petey is behaving more petey-ish. :-D I hope everyone feels better by tomorrow!

Uh oh...looks like Trix is tired of Petey getting all the attention. Just fed her a little snack...hopefully she'll surf this one out.

Wow, you may be onto something there with the dry kibble and what Marje said about the oils getting rancid! With all the civvies getting sick, makes sense. Sounds like Trixie is saying to Petey, "now my turn for Bean time." So glad Petey is feeling better. And ditto what everyone has said, you are an awesome Bean and care so much. Lots of hugs.

So we've got ourselves a reduction. I'm not super-duper enthusiastic, only because she's been doing soooo well on F1.0, I hate to rock the boat.

On the plust side, 1.0 is much easier to draw. And, hubby is playing volleyball tonight; he'll be home in about an hour and all revved up, so he can take over with PokeFest!

Just looked at your spreadsheet. She's a wily one, isn't she! But she looked good at .75 too. Maybe she will again.
