Yesterday

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all the well wishes. I'm feeling pretty good today and Edward and I are about to go for a little walk. I'm supposed to walk, not supposed to drive, and not supposed to lift anything more than a 20 lb shopping bag. The hernia was inguinal.

Rusty is doing well. He is looking after me and is no longer confused about the change in his routine (actually, his routine is back to "normal"). He has pretty good numbers today and pretty good appetite.

I may be back on the Board later, but then, maybe not. In any event, the LagoonMeister will keep an eye on things. Everyone have a good weekend. I'm looking forward to the World Series, which begins on Tuesday. Let's go Mets!!

I hope you feel stronger and better soon. Take it easy and rest. I bet some of Edward's homemade bread would be perfect!

oh my... a hernia! I didn't know... sorry I have missed those updates! They are not to be messed with, so I am glad you are being a good patient and doing what the DR ordered. A for sure on being very careful on lifting.

How cool that Rusty is taking care of you. All those KTSS runs have trained him well. I remember that whenever I had one of those illnesses that kept me down I had the furkids tend to me too. Always so nice when they do. Good job Rusty!

You are looking pretty good this morning Rusty, a nice even blue. Surf well.

Here's to a speedy recovery Ella. Enjoy the walk, I hope it helps with your recovery, being outdoors always works for me.

You didn't miss any updates, Michelle. I didn't want to say anything until after it was taken care of. I didn't want to have the surgery until after canoeing season, so scheduled it for late October (to give myself time to recover before Thanksgiving).

Rusty is having a low-key, blue day. Cold and damp outdoors, but it was good to walk. It's amazing how much you lose when you can't do the things you are used to doing.

Since my heart was broken by the Blue Jays last night, I have no choice but to support the Mets in the World Series. Go Mets!

If they hadn't had the rain delay in the 8th inning the Jays might have won. They were on a roll. C'est la vie! Go Mets!!

I'm glad you're feeling better and up to a walk. You're such an active person that it can only be good for you to get back to some of your normal activities, with restrictions, as soon as possible. Sending lots more healing vines.

Rusty, looks like you've decided to hang out with Cinco on shore. Well, you can be the eyes and he the ears as you watch the kitties frolicing in the lagoon.

Good to hear you're feeling better Ella!! I didn't think you'd said anything about any surgery, so I was surprised when it was all over and done too!

Here's my "doctor's orders"....take it easy and get at least 2 kitty snuggles an hour until you're all better!

Should be an interesting World Series too!! Since I was born and lived in KC most of my life, gotta be true to my team, so sorry Mets, but GO ROYALS!!

We are turning in. Thank you, guys! Back tomorrow. Rusty spent the evening on the couch with us, watching old episodes from the first season of "Person of Interest". He's about to get his bedtime test. Nice flat-blue "rest" day.
