Sending vines to all in need today. ♥

Ripley seems to be feeling better than she did last night. She wasn't feeling too bad, just much lower energy, less sparkle in her eyes. This morning she's back to her normal morning self: hungry, squawky, perky. Maybe she's more of a morning person (like her mamabean ;-) ) than a night owl.

Yep, I'm considering adding a drop tonight ~ to fatten her current 1.25 dose.
Her numbers are within normal range lately, but her nadir is hovering in the 90s the last few cycles, and it's been 11 cycles since her last drop increase.

It seems as though I had a great grasp on her numbers before I switched syringes (about a month ago) ~ and now we're still trying to find the way back to those beautifully-consistent numbers.

So glad to hear that Ripley is back to her squawky self this morning. Good idea on the asteriks. I hope it catches her eye. Nice AMPS though. Have a great day Josie!

Glad to hear Ripley is feeling sparkly this morning! I know changing syringes would throw Trix off course, too...she's super sensitive to changes like that. I'm kinda dreading the upcoming time change for the same reason. Hopefully the added drop will do the trick!

:?: So, I often suffer from trigger-finger-tunnel-vision: should I keep her current dose (and wait for her to perhaps get back to 7 days of normal numbers), or add a drop tonight? Thank you :smile: :smile: :smile:

Ripley is not her numbers (saw your note to yourself), but if she were, my goodness she has AWESOME ones!

have you tried doing the feeding at +9ish both am and pm cycles to try to bring down the preshot numbers? you've got such great cycles going, i think i would try that first. my understanding is that nothing is to be gained by pushing a cat under 50 - rather the aim of holding them under 120 is a better goal. you're almost there. sometimes that little bit of food at +9 will kick the pancreas into gear and bring down the preshot.

Julie: I can easily try +9 feedings during the day, but those wee-hour +9s may be more challenging for this sleep-loving bean... it's worth a shot, though. I mean I already do so much for my sugarsweetie, what's one more alarm to set? ;-) :smile:

Sienne: I love having wiggle room :-D . Thanks so much. I'll fatten tonight, plus try Julie's suggestion of +9 feedings (when I can).


Ripley had some backyard-time this afternoon. The temp has finally gone down into the 70s (it was mid-80s yesterday!), so there's no risk of Ripples getting over-heated (which leads to punkness :sad: ). Fall is finally arriving in Sacramento.

i wouldn't set an alarm and get up for it! even though we love our babies, we (meaning me) love our sleep too! that's the job for an autofeeder. they can do the work for you while you sleep.

if you read the reviews, just know that there are people who say it doesn't always turn and open. i found that it always works if you have it fully seated into the base unit. i put it in with one compartment to "spare" and then pushed the button to move it to make sure it was seated and moving correctly. doing that - it works.

Glad to see Ripley is feeling more like herself today. Good luck with the added drop. I'm sure she'll pass with flying green colors! :mrgreen:

I thought it was due to the addition of Wellness Chicken to her Wellness Turkey for dinner ~ but I took out the chicken 2 nights ago.
 
I would have agreed with Sienne on fine tuning the dose so I'm glad you did that.

Ripley is beautiful, gorgeous, amazing despite what her numbers might be doing although they are also beautiful!

Thank you for that reminder, Marje ~ Ripley thanks you, too (she like being told she looks good ;-) ).

I have a mindset of normal-range numbers, and don't like to stray outside of that box. I have control-freak syndrome :lol: .
