I skipped the AMPS test and cleaned up Mugsy's head (overnight drainage mess) and fed him (he drank some tuna water). Everyone stayed nice and relaxed. Gave him his shot at 8 am and fed him some more tuna. We left him to his own devices (mousing etc) until 11 am when I gave him his AB and let him eat some more tuna. He has kept a wary eye on me but, since I didn't do anymore to him he relaxed a little. Finally at 2 pm I scooped him out the bathtub and we did a test - 2 sticks/1 strip (thanks BJM - that tip :idea: was great!) - it was +6 and his bg was 192. We will take it cool the rest of the day and try again for PMPS and see what happens. Since his head drained during the night I won't do it today. The AB must be the culprit because he hasn't tossed his cookies once today, so far. I am changing the schedule to space things out so that none of us is overwhelmed like yesterday. Thanks for the support and suggestions. For whomever asked about ketones - I will when he co-operates. He hides, sneaks, and even his shots have to be given in the darnedest places and positions, sometimes. :roll: I will keep the SS up-to-date and log-in with updates.
