I feel your pain - Herman responds best to extremely frequent snacks - it is exhausting, i know! Herman has evolved into the world most spoiled cat - he has come to expect his snacks served to him "in situ" - if he is in cat bed I hold plate up for him. If he is in my bed, I let him eat his disgusting mush next to me. Outside? Picnic snacks with his cat friends (I have to take plates out for whomever he is hanging out with at the time). He will very happily eat while lying down as i push the wet slop to his mouth with a little rubber spoon. We have evolved to this because its easier for me to manage the late night feedings in my bedroom vs going all the way downstairs to the kitchen and waking up his dog brother etc. So I have totally created a monster!! While it has been working so I don't think I can do this forever - but while we push to get him to a nice low dose and consistently in greens I will keep it up. Looking into an autofeeder - I just don't think he can be bothered half the time to get out of bed for a little spoonful of food like I feed him.
