I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Ours was alot of fun! it was a po day for nicholas. my DSIL DM watch William wile Nicholas and I swam.Thank you pat! While we were there there was another mom with a baby maybe 6 months old. Nicholas thought that as so cool, and kept telling me he thought we should bring William. he thought for sure William would have as much fun as that little girl did. I bet he would! We also FINALLY got a break in the fog, with sun the afternoon, with a very nice sunset. YaHOO! The fog has left us, at least for now. Word is it will be back in the morning. So... we decided to take advantage of that, and head to the beach in the afternoon. Here's what I wrote in last night's post about the day: "Hi Everyone. I hope you had a good one today. The energizer fish LOVED is day in the pool. LOL: When doesn't he? We did clsoe to 2 hours today - alot of time in the "beach area", the hot tub, the slides, and especially the big pool. That has to be his favorite place. He was able to watch a class finishing up again today. They were working on "big arms" and swimming to their instructor. Nicholas decided he could do that too, but he wanted to jump in first, then swim to me. So he did. Not too bad either. ;-) We had a great day in the pool, closed down the morning session once again, which was nice, as we had the big pool all to ourselves for about 20 minutes. Still darn nice to see how excited he gets when he is there. We did just about everything again today. Fun stuff! He decided on the way home that he didn't need a nap. So off to Juanita Beach Park in the afternoon. By then we had sunny weather. : ) Sure was nice in Juanita. There were a couple of other little boys there about his age so he was able to play with them for a bit. William did ok today too. Wide eyed at the beach. Funny - loved to watch his bro on the swings. LOL: not much of a nap for him either. I bet they both sleep well tonight. Picassa links: Swimming! and Juanita Beach Park

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   This morning things are very normal, very quiet... As tired as I am after a very long but good day yesterday I am grateful and reflective on how nice these mornings are. Lola is camped out on my lap as I type this condo. This continues to be one of my favorite times with her. Now if she would only stay that way.... HAHA: what fun would that be? She and bug acme to spend time with the boys yesterday when they first came in the morning. Our MORNINGS continue to be one of my favorite times. It is a bit crazy, but one where we all interact, get things set for the day, decided what will be what, and pig-out on breffis. Kitties were good yesterday. Lola was after yet another turkey container, a used empty one. Rather than have to try and get it from her, I hid it in the microwave. Help us all if she ever really figures out how to open that microwave.    Elsa and Bug are good too. They both found sunbeams yesterday afternoon. After five very foggy days that sun had to have felt very good. YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille! cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. I hope to take the boys up to a river, again, as Nicholas asked for one yesterday. Sheshhhh - kid LOVES the rivers! He has such fun there that it is no surprise he asks to go time and time again. We may return the Skykomish River or the Beckler River, as they seem to be his favorite. Ah heck! They are ALL his favorites! I will see how weather and temp patterns develop and then pick a spot. Who knows - Nicholas may have already decided where we are going! ;-) The weather yesterday was said to be good for today, cool but with sun, so I hope we can make the trip. :-D We will also be swimming in the evening, unless he decides he's done for the day. I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Re: 10/24 LOOSE LIPS: a day at the pool.... and the beach...

Sounds like yesterday was a hit! My BFF has a little boy that turns two in Dec and we were talking about getting his used to water. I showed her some of the videos of Nicholas and how well he does in the water. She was very very impressed and is planning on getting James into the water more soon. I bet Nicholas had a blast. What a kid. :-D It won't be long and William will be in there as well.

I love mornings as well. Everyone is still a little sleepy and moving slower, which helps. Have a wonderful day today Michelle!!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) I so agree - gets them in the water when they are young. They learn to like it, and respect it. I started Nicholas when he as about 14 months old. William will possibly be sooner. Good luck to your BFF. It can be so fun to experience with them. Nicholas does have a blast when he goes - asks all the time of he can. I suspect it will be the same for William. Hope so anyways. Yes on the mornings! Phew on the moving slower... same here! Way cool huh! THX on today.

Morning, Michelle,
What a nice day you had yesterday. Packed with fun, of course! I'll bet that Nicholas can't wait to show William how to swim! It won't be long now!

Enjoy the river adventure today. I hope Lola behaves herself while you are out! (better put some duck tape over the microwave door!)

Have a lovely day with good weather,

Ella & Rusty

Hey Elsa, thanks for the ~O) ~O) . We were up even later than usual watching the World Series, so really needed that coffee this morning. Delicious!

It sounds like yesterday was a fun day. That's neat Nicholas got to play with some other kids. I hope the river was good today and you got some sunshine.

It's a good thing you were able to hide the turkey container in the microwave.

Hi Michelle,

Looks like you guys had a very fun, busy day yesterday - How sweet that Nicholas thinks of William was he isn't there :-D The weather looked perfect for Juanita Beach. Glad you had a break from the fog. Good that the kitties are able to enjoy some sunbeams :-D

Have a good night,

Jane

Re: 10/24 LOOSE LIPS: a day at the pool.... and the beach...

Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We are back to being socked in, no fog break, at least here at home. Now you can go to lynnwood 2 miles away and will have seen some afternoon sun. I must be one of the chosen few spots that still can't see across the street. Sure does make one appreciate afternoons like yesterday, where we had a sunny afternoon. Two more days of this total fog, per the weather dudes... The boys and I ended up at the Snoqualmie River, out of Twin Falls Park. I had thought of Snoqualmie Pass, about 20 miles further, but the webcams showed that to be foggy, even when the weather guys said sun. so.... by the time I got to the river exit, there were sunny skies, and I made the decision then to go there. it proved to be a good choice. I like that part of the river. easy enough for the little guy, a variety of things to experience. He's into asking what everything is now. LOL: I need to learn my plants better. We did pretty much the same thing we always do there, with a few variations. He pretty much calls the shots on what is what. That makes it even more fun for him. SO... did the rocky section for those tiny waterfalls, and then the sandy section for all the sticks and river wading. That section is good for William, as I can get him out onto the sand. Both had a good time. William was awake for most of it too, which was nice. We may to the Skykomish tomorrow. When I picked him up today he really wanted to go to Index and see the salmon in the river again. Went on and on about it all. Seems he loves to be in the river with the fish. lol, and that's my guy! It was way too foggy there today, would have been very cold, so maybe tomorrow will be better. We did not swim tonight. He was tired, and jst wnated to go home. That probably was a good idea, as Being as tired as he was it would have not been the best of times. He said he wanted to go tomorrow, so we shall see if that hold true by the time tomrrow night rolls around. anyways... so went today. It was a good one, for all of us. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Ella - THX on yesterday - it was a good one. pool was just as much fun as it always is. I think so too on Nicholas wanting to show William things. it will be so fun when they can both go together. River was good today too. It was sunny there, and mild. Both boys had a good time. I so agree on Elsa and that microwave door. LOL: I LOVE duck tape!
Auntie Ella - YAY! I am so glad that you liked it! Good deal then that I brought lots! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Carla - That cat! I end up hiding lots in the microwave.  I thought so too that Nicholas could play with kids his age - what a plus! River was great today. One we go to often, so he knows it well, has his fav spots to go.

Hi Jane - We did! Bust and fun. I love pool days - they are always a ton of fun. It is so cool to see how good nicholas is with his brother. It was nice too that we had time to add in the park. Such a sunny afternoon deserved park time. :-D Kitties LOVED their sunbeams.
