Hello, I read your info & LOVE the words to live by ,"Let Food be thy Medicine" I became Vegetarian over 16 years ago so I could afford to feed my kitties meat. They are obligate carnivores I am not.
I was shocked that Ravan got diabetes. I thought i was doing everything right! I guess it's Genetic in his case.
I'm 72 & don't take any meds. I do use herbs,vitamins ,exercise & Yoga. Ravan has to have insulin but I'm trying not to use Pharmaceuticals on him either. He gets CBD oil for inflammation & slippery elm if he has an upset stomach & vit. B12 .

I don't give dose advice. The people here that have a LOT of experience do. Trust in their advice. They are donating their time to help us.

It will be OK Learn as much as you can. In time it will get easier!

Wow! I have been a vegetarian since 5 years old! I have just started here. Someone had advised me to look at others spreadsheets when they test-so that's what I have been doing. I am on this website everyday now. I am so happy to find another vegetarian on this forum. I kept thinking of this movie Forks Over Knives when Nermal got diagnosed. Particularly a part where a lady completely reversed her diabetes through food. Starting to think cats need food for medicine-but they need meat and no veggies. We need the opposite I suppose.
