What a nice blue this morning for Mannie. I think he probably continued with his green/blue surf last night, decided a high blue would be the ticket this morning. Good job Mannie. cat_pet_icon I hope you have a great day today. Your bean looks forward to what this morning's cycle has in store for us. :-D

Mannie seems no worse for wear this morning, after day one of the Hunters Full Moon party. He made a brief trip home to replenish supplies, drop of his meter readings, gather more test strips, restock the roadster, gather a few new aprons as yesterdays was covered with grill splatters, gather more catmint, and off he went to gather kitties for day two of the full moon celebration. He was singing the whole time - a song about friends old and new and the joy of seeing Teddy once again.

Mannie has been his usual purring and cuddly self this morning. He spent time last night curled up on my feet - after many tries to get me to go to bed. He was disappearing during the last few tests last night - I'd find him curled up on my pillow, waiting. Guess I couldn't get there fast enough. This morning has been a good one for him: breffis #1, and #2 eaten (YAY: auto feeder used once again for #1, with no coaching), bathing in earnest, napping on the nanners, purring through all he did.

Nice job Mannie. He sounds like an absolute doll Michelle.

I've got to find some small bowls to put in my feeder......Curry's entire head fits in the feeder area and she can't seem to get to her food very well. Life would be nice if I could get her to eat her snacks out of the feeder. Maybe will try Target today for the small bowls.

Hi Tena! I hear you on the small bowls for the feeder. I keep meaning to look for them too - it would be easier for Mannie, and easier to keep clean, fill etc. I read sometime ago on one of my posts that someone did find some: easier for the cat, easier for the bean. Guess I need to look too.

Hi Ele! I am stuck at home for a while today anyways - so he can be as demanding as he needs to be. :lol: I am waiting on a frig replacement delivery - bought on back in may, been nothing but a series of problems ever since. so - I went and raised holy hell with them, and they are replacing it. :shock: damn straight! i paid a alot of money for that piece of ____. SO YAY! New frig.

Very cool morning - with pending storms brewing, and even so Mannie is so anxious to be outside. He's made several perimeter checks. Makes me laugh - out he goes, I call him with the "test" word, and he comes on in, sits in his spot. we test and out he goes again. what in the world is going on out there this morning. :?

Michelle and Tena, I found some little bowls that fit in the feeder. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the store was called Kitchen Collection. This may be their website www.kitchencollection.com. I don't see the dishes on there, but maybe there's a store near you. The one I went to was at an outlet mall. They had a bunch of different sized little clear glass dishes. They are round and certainly don't fit perfectly, but it's so great to be able to just take the dishes out and wash them instead of having to take out that whole tray. They came in a little pack of 4 for about $4.

96 @ +5.5, didn't feed this one either. I probably won't check him again until +6.5 - he's on the rise, but I will make sure he stays up, and doesn't do a u-turn.

Michelle...not supposed to be on computer but DH went to get my eye AB and I wanted to send you a post. I so appreciated your input last night about shooting through the bounce. Mike and I had already decided it would be good to try so we could get her in healing range again and hopefully get low AMPS for today. I thought we were going to be successful as she surfed at least up until +10. So while it was a rough night for Gracie and me, we did have the benefit of her being in green/blue for several hours which we would not have had if I had shot the reduction. You are so right ECID and I wouldn't know if I didn't try and we did have a positive outcome last night. Thank you so much for your help. (((Mannie))) and now I must get off computer!

Check out the dollar stores too. I've seen the same bowls there. I make some stoneware bowl for Tess, she hated sticking her head down in there. I threw them but am going to see if I can make a mould for a little better fit.

Tess came into my lap to see what Mannie was up to, they are on the teeter totter again. And I'm enjoying a lazy Saturday morning w/ no class.

You going down again Mannie? I was wondering where you was? I'm all ready w/ rosemary and lizards! -- Tess

Hi Marjorie! I hope your eye will be better soon. omg - any idea how it happened? I think you made a good choice in shooting through the bounce, even though she sure deserved the reduction. at least now you have the data, and some great numbers in the green range for her, always a good thing!

Hi Ann - thanks for the idea - i will check the dollar store too. it keep putting off looking for these bowls. i think it would help me too. Mannie is slowly learning that the feeder means food, and when he sees me filling it, or cleaning it he's with the "whatcha got" look, and it is at times a battle to keep him out of it. Funny - hes' right there when I fill it, not so much when he is supposed to eat out of it. ohmygod_smile and silly boy!

Hi! Mannie, this is a beautiful day of numbers again for you. Those mice must be just the thing for bg levels!! We are very glad that all the kitties had a good hunt and party last night and tonight the moon is supposed to be really brilliant (there were several inches of snow on the ground down at Camp Stu this morning, making for a bright night last night; snowmen and snowball fights might be added to the list of full-moon activities tonight!). Party on!!

boy is it ever wet in seattle right now - rain is falling by the buckets. At least i got a good walk in thru the woods to the shore before the heavy stuff started. YAY!

Hey Ella! Snow at camp???? Good thing Mannie out the snow tires on the roadster. :lol: It must be feeling like winter there now... I bet the fall in your area is just beautiful.

Miss Ella? I am SO EXCITED!!!! We thought we may get snow, some of the kitties said they could feel the weather change. It is cool when we have a full moon on fresh snow. This will be our first snowmen of the season, and well - I love snow and snowballs.... this will be the bestest ever. did you hear that teddy is here? He throws a mean snowball.... We promise that we will clean everything up real good, and make sure the cabin is secure when we leave. I told all the kitties that they can't track snow into the cabin, so they are being very careful. It is so fun to see them all in the snow boots, scarves and hats. All us kitties thank you so very much for letting us have our full moon party at camp stu. it has been the best time. thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was so good to share the time with friends, those still with us, those that are here in spirit. I am so very happy. we lubs you! ~~ Mannie

270 @ pmps... we seem to have bounced a little. It's OK Mannie - you had a great AM cycle! Your bean is proud of you!

Now go party hearty at the Hunters Full Moon Party: eat drink and be merry, play sing and dance the night away, build snowmen and snow forts, grill saute and flambe till the food is gone. Enjoy the good times with your friends. and don't worry - I won't wait up.

Such a wonderful crowd of kitties having fun by the light of the full hunters' moon! The snow was gone by this afternoon, but the full moon is really glorious tonight. So much fun, so much good food, so many good stories, so many fine memories. These kitties really know what is important. We can learn so much from them.

AMEN. Ain't that the truth.

I decided to give Mannie the rest of the night off. And give his ears a break, if just for one night. We are at 183 at +4, he will be just fine. He will receive his +9 snack as normal, and this bean will be back at it 0-dark-thirty. Have a good night everyone!
