I hope this is the right way to do this as I've never started this thread. All of you have been so kind to me thruout Boris' being ill and losing him and with our civie Fiona being sick.
I thought I would share some pics of Fiona with you. She is doing quite well post surgery. Friday she had her first chemo treatment - carboplatin for her diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the lung. It's a primary tumor and one tumor only so we are hoping for a good outcome - meaning a 2 year survival. But for now we are just loving everyday we have with her. It's a blessing and we will take it. We miss Boris horribly and our pup Blue too but perhaps - we would like to believe right now - they are Fiona's personal guardian angels!

Mom had to do some retail therapy one day so Fiona now has a wardrobe - I hope the pics will make you smile. And we both hope you and your kitties are ALL doing well! Again we can never say thank you enough for all your kindness

Nope, can't see the pictures either. "Permissions" problem, I think.

I think of Boris often these days, and grieve over his loss and the others here,
recently.

Had I been in WA state when Boris needed a home, I would have wanted him.
I'm so glad he was with you......

Wanna see picture of Fiona in her finery !

What a lovely wardrobe! Fiona is doing great - thanks for the pictures. Hugs to you Patti. It's so hard to lose our babies.

Thanks everyone - Fiona is about 8.5 lbs - she's long and thin. She and her brother Tang look exactly alike except he is orange and bigger but have the exact same markings. We still call them "the kittens" because they were the youngest in the house for so long and we rescued them as 8 week old kittens from a neighbor who abandoned them outside. Both were sick at the time but have been healthy until now - at 16 yrs old. Tang was dx with cardiomyopathy and basically NO WBC's about 1 year ago but is doing well - (his count is 1.0 and normal should be about 5-10). We don't know the reason for the no WBC's - he's been worked up for everything! He eats like crazy tho and talks all the time - just like Fiona! :-D They are both huge lovebugs - they would sit in your lap or be held all day and be petted if you would have the time!
 
Fiona looks exactly like my first kitty, Hugs.

She just looks so soft and cuddlely.

Thanks for letting us know how Fiona is doing. And please keep us updated.
 
aw, fiona looks sweet - love the outfits! i think she's grateful for the little snuggly sweaters to keep her warm and make her beautiful.

every day is a gift with our little ones. no guarantees for any of them. just grateful for each new day.
 
Well, I can see why she needed all those cute outfits...somebody
stole her clothes !!!

What a cutie.

I hope she feels better soon with her therapy for the cancer, and
that she has some good quality time left with her family.
