120? gulp. And I gave her fancy feast turkey and giblets classics -3 % last night at bedtime and again this morning.
There was a 4 hr and 20 minute gap between food servings.
She doesn't wake me up, just lays beside me and waits. Come on Shadow. Stay on the good path! That's high enough.

Had an ugly day yesterday as some new bills showed up in the mail. 4000 for dd 's hospital stay. Insurance page of benefits says 1100 was
our part. My DH says that's not right, we should only be responsible for 10%. That this is part of the bartering between contracts for
providers and insurance. So there should be another payout. @-)
The prospect of the bills was enough to send me off the deep end. I started looking around for things to sell on ebay. :? :?

That's ok, just test at +3 or +4 to see if she brought herself down with food. Muffin had a lot of high ambg's, but always brought herself down, so that means the pancreas is working. Sorry about all the bills. Hang in there! Oh, and Happy Day..is it 6?

I wouldn't sweat the 120 if she comes back down. The FF T&G has bee known to cause spikes in some kitties.
Before Ruby went OTJ, I could use it to bring her up if she dipped a little too low. Now, it doesn't cause a spike at all, but I have no idea why.

I'm of the same idea that FF T&G can cause spikes, i don't know if i believe that its only 3%. She's still within the good numbers range tho, maybe Shadow will bring herself down by tonight.

Yuck on the bills, it just amazes me that you have to pay to go to the hospital down there, how do people afford it??? I hope you find a way to help pay those bills. :YMHUG:

Bummer on the bills, hope it gets straightened out soon. This summer my insurance denied my claim and subsequent appeal. When I called, the rep told me me they automatically deny initial claims and at least half of people dont bother to appeal more than once. They approved my second appeal, what a racket! :roll: Hang in there!

I think it could be the FF T&G too, a number of cats spike on it. Try something different tomorrow and see what happens.

And they say we din't need health insurance reform!

Bills - horrible. Leslie is right - they deny nearly everything the first time. At least one of my doctors told me to ignore the first denial because they know it will be denied and they automatically resubmit to the insurance company. Amazing the games that get played. I hope it works out and they pay out more than you expect.

Hi Rhiannon. I hope Shadow has come down since her +3. It's only one day, she'll be back to good numbers. ....I say so! :lol:

I'm sorry that you have this worry about the hospital bill. I also hate these games they play. :-x

Rhiannon, congrats on day 6. She'll come down I know she will.

Sorry about the hospital bills, those really can give you an upset stomach and headache. That will work out too.

Rhiannon don't get discouraged. 120 is still in the acceptable range. I see she found green today. Happy Day 6! :mrgreen:

No worries Rhiannon. Check out Fur Ball's trial. He had some blues that got me worried. But I think his issue was more not getting enough food. You are doing great.

Hi Rhiannon, I'm sure Shadow will get with the program and come down to the GREEN. Congrats on day 6!!!
Don't let up on the insurance. They all use the double D approach to claims....first DENY and then DELAY. Everything will work out. Have a great day.
