how long has it been open?
which PZI are you using?

For the next vial, you might consider wrapping it in a dark colored elastic paper bandage tape (like what they use to hold an IV needle in place.) I have a purple one that I have reused on several bottles.

I do this to protect it from light and fast temp changes, and oops drops.
I also keep it in a special box in my fridge vegetable drawer where it doesn't get jiggled as much.

Nancy, I use Lantus, not PZI. :) Blackie has some followers (or is it a fan club? LOL) on here, so I post her #'s on here, too. :) It turns out that the vial is still good. :) She DID give me a  yesterday before we left, so I know it's still working. :) And it's going on 3 months now, too. The vial's almost empty, but I have a cartridge to use when this is done. I'm good for now. :) Thank you. :)

Lantus is my least familiar insulin, so I'm curious... I didn't know it could last that long. Is this unusual or do you have some special trick or have you dose adjusted for some loss of effectiveness? That's great that you got 3 months out of a vial- very interesting. Thanks for the info!

I know what you mean about the this ISG. We use lev, but I haven't been in lantus land in ages. Just too much going on - my head spins

Yep, Blackie was one of our high drama kitties  and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO great to see how well she is finally doing!!! YAY!!!!

No trick. Just the way the vial's going (thank goodness). LOL

Joanna, I'm sure that she's still one of the soap opera kitties on here. LOL :) Thank you for the compliment. :) She IS doing well. Until today, when she found leftovers (again). Lil bugger has radar ears for when someone starts to go into the heaving process. :YMSIGH:
