Hello Lantus Land peeps,, both old and new . . .

I held my breath as I tested BK today, as I do every time I test him -
5,4,3,2,1- beep beep beep . . . 81 whew!

It was 4 years ago today we celebrated BK going otj_icon - something we never imagined could or would happen.
One thing is certain - had we not found the FDMB and the support & experience of the Lantus Land group he would have been pushing daisies.

BK is his usual Mr. Mellow. In terms of craziness he has slowed down quite a bit; at approx. 11years old the vet now considers him a senior. BK now has a roommate who is full of energy & craziness - Little Man Jake, who was abandoned this past Xmas eve as a ~6 week old kitten (and somehow ended up at our house. . . :roll: )

Black Kitty is seriously beautiful.
And bless your heart for your Christmas Eve kitten. I have a little Xmas Eve rescue too, and she's the sweetest thing ever.
 
Happy 4th OTJ Annifursary! It's great to hear a report about the famous Black Kitty. He is one of our heroes. :-D :-D :-D

I will never forget the elation I felt when Black Kitty went OTJ. Whew, OMG, from what was it 40 something units of insulin, and with your good care and determination (which must have been hard, and scary sometimes a lot), you fought that insulin resistance and like your OTJ video says "The Love And Strength It Took To Get Black Kitty Here, Is Monumental". I am and always will be so proud of you.

Congratulations Sandy on getting Black Kitty OTJ. I've just started this journey in August with Zeke and can't even (and actually don't wanna) imagine what 21 months of this would be like. What you did was quite an accomplishment and a huge testament to your character and love for Black Kitty. RESPECT.

Hi Sandy, we remember you well. We went to your OTJ party and is was so inspiring. We've been back since March after 4 OTJ years and DH has asked about you several times. Where is the office kitty? I don't know? It is so nice to hear from you and know that Black Kitty is doing fine as I hope you are too. We still remember fondly your sweet baby girl "Little Luigi" It is so nice that you adopted a new baby. Love the name. Are you sure he is a boy? LOL
Make sure you come back next year this time with 5 years OTJ. Congratulations!

congratulations on 4 years OTJ!!! You're one of my heroes here because you refused to give up. I learned so much by watching you and BK explore IAA and eventually overcome it. I'll never forget the french fry. :mrgreen:
 
As if four years OTJ isn't impressive enough... You got him OTJ after two years of insulin? So there is hope for all kitties!
