Starving again this morning. Didn't eat out of the feeder last night, looks light he might have stuck his nose in it once but thats about it. And there was throw up all over the living room!! I took all the food out the feeder and into his bowl, added a little water, put it in the microwave and gave it to him for breakfast! So as not to waste any. Seemed to work, he ate, some. Again not as much as i would have liked but ok. He's sitting next to me purring away so he seems good.

ps i noticed asa he finishes eating he runs to the litter box, normal?

my civvie does that, and runs like a banshee after too, must feel good I guess, lol

Yes, they do have their routines ya know...so it's perfectly fine. I am concerned about the vomiting though....was it food that he threw up or do you think there was a hairball in there? If there was hairball, that would explain whey he wasn't too hungry over the past couple of days. When they have one that is trying to come up, it seems to affect their appetite. If he didn't get that up, I am wondering if you have any tuna fish with oil. Sometimes, if you put down just the oil from the can, it helps them get those nasty hairballs up and away.

So, we look for 5 Ps each day. Purring, Pooping, Peeing, Preening, Playing...the playing may not show up each day but the other Ps are worth noting. Happy Saturday! :mrgreen:

He eats Special Kitty, Mixed Grilled Dinner is what i been giving him cuz mom says thats his fav. He's got some 9Lives in there too, ima give him that later and see how he likes that.

His vomit did have a little hair in it but i don't think it was a hairball. It was EVERYWHERE! When he throws up usually it's one big mess, then a little one, then hes ok.But I know i cleaned up at least 4 major spots this morning so that had me worried. It looked runny too, also looked like it came out with some force.

Unfortunately we have no tuna with oil in the house, ima have to pick some up, thanks for the tip!



9:22 am Just gave him some 9Lives, hes eating it up!! Hopefully he won't throw it up! Im watching him! All his P's seem to be in place...

Every once in a while one of my kitties will do that splatter kind of puking. And I will only find a little hair in it as if they just couldn't stand the fuzz. Later (a day or so) they usually toss a hairball some place unexpected, so I will step on it.

Normally my cats aim for the off-white wool rug in the living room to puke on. This is my punishment for getting a custom rug, duh.

Glad that Gandalf is eating for you. They love to make us crazy by whining and moping for food, then decide they don't like what's on the menu. Sigh.... :roll:

Hang in there, you are doing great! You mother is so lucky to have you help out with Gandalf.

LOL thats funny! Sooo true. Usually Gandalf will tell us when he is about to throw up (hes cries in a specific tone), and we will run and put him in the kitchen where the tile is so its eaiser to clean, but I must have been really tired last night cuz I didn't hear him. =( No throw up today. He ate this morning and again right now (it's around 5:30). Snacks through the day on what was left in his bowl from breakfast, trying to teach him not to waste food. He's such a diva sometimes! LOL He seems good though, all P's in place!
