Tiggy is feeling fine - maybe a little less energetic than before but his BG hasnt been as good. and the diarrhea is back.. I have given up trying to work out the cause.
My rabbit Pikachu had an operation yesterday to remove a lump from her chest. We found it a couple of weeks before Bonnie passed away and hoped it was a cyst since it was moveable. Really we couldnt handle mentally or financially, dealing with it while we were looking with Bonnie. Anyway the lump started to grow slowly and the vet said it wasnt a cyst - maybe cancer so we decided to remove it. She had her surgery yesterday and stopped breathing afterward. and turned blue. It was touch and go.The vet revived her and we brought her home last night but it totally freaked us out.
We wont know if the lump was malignant or not because we elected not to spend the money testing it. After all, if its cancer its probably too late.. with rabbit breast cancer by the time you see the lump, its spread throughout. And after the not breathing/turning blue episode yesterday, we wont ever be doing surgery on her again. And chemo will be too hard on her - she is an old bunny at 11 years old. Anyway today she is doing ok considering - eating - but she is clearly in pain so we are medicating her.
