Good morning LL! Happy Furday and Hunter's Moon Day! (or eve, depending on your calendar)

We're starting out MUCH better today than yesterday, all cake put away last night :lol: I explained to Muffin yesterday about what exactly a trial means for her, and I think she's anxious to get started, by that 48 last night. So I may start tomorrow instead of Sunday, as tonight will be her final pred dose. I got up a little early today and got some extra Muffin lovin's in. Purring and preening present so far, not too much eating yet, and no LB (usually comes halfway thru breffis). Only supposed to be in the 60's today (brrr). I'm going to have to start shopping for area rugs again so the kitties have warm things to lay on. I had to get rid of all the ones I had, as Muffin peed on them all pre-dx ohmygod_smile which then made Shnookie pee on them too. Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful day, I'm off to take DSiL's father to an appt, will be back in a few hours.

Glad you figured out what the contraband was and had that talk with her.....looks like she's ready now!! Hope you have a wonderful day and find some
rugs. It's cold here this morning, too. Never got over 65 yesterday. LOVE THE FALL!

I've told you before, I love Muffin's spunk. chocolate frosting. a girl after my own heart. :lol: except for the tinkling on the rugs part.

59 @ +3 Not sure how much of her breffis she got, the bowl is licked clean, and that's Kibby's work! She's napping now, and not asking for food, so ...I'll try to entice her in a few mins.

Marjorie - Seems she actually listened! Good to know she doesnt JUST read condos. :lol: I'm with you - I'm so ready for fall!

See Curry...lower numbers are good.....and then.....eventually.....no more shots.......and then no more ear pokes (or not quite as often).

so, i was sitting at my favorite table in the saloon, when suddenly the doors swung open. Binks swaggered in, pushed back his stetson, and surveyed the scene. his eyes fell on me, and he strode over to my table (no small feat as he was forced to slap away cat paws that kept snaking out to play with the rowels on his spurs). he tossed his hat on the table, hooked his paws in his gun belt, and in his best John Wayne voice announced "Partner, you n me got some jawin' to do". A hush fell over the bar...Smudge allowed the tune she'd been playing on the piano to falter, then quietly closed the top of the piano and slunk out of the line of fire. Annie stopped dancing the Can Can, gathered her skirts, and dashed off the stage.
"rumors hereabouts are sayin' that you beans are a'thinkin' of puttin my best friend muffin on trial, an i'm here to tell ya that you can't treat a sweet kitten of her ilk like some cheap 'femme ferale'. is that clear?"
"how's about you sit down, i'll buy you a drink, and we'll hash this out?" i replied.

He scrambled up on the seat and said "why, yes...thank you! i'd dearly love a Shirley Temple", but as the titters rose around us, he snarled "naw, whiskey..bring me whiskey! (but not rye or anything grain based, and no sugar, as it is not on my FD approved diet)"

Well, to make a long story short...we delved deep into the subject, and the whole situation meets with Marshall Bink's avid approval...

She still hasn't eaten much today. Finally got her working on a slice of turkey. It's fairly obvious to me that she doesn't LOVE this canned food. She rarely eats it anymore if I'm not sitting right there with her. After she goes a while without eating, it's been taking a slice of turkey to spark her interest in food again. Dinner seems to go much easier - I'm sure she's pretty hungry by then. I think I'll start putting out 2 or 3 different kinds at a time, instead of trying to mix in something new, so she can have a little buffet. If she holds true to form and doesn't try anything new, I may need to syringe something new or somehow find something she likes better. She's definitely missing her crunchies. :roll:

pmps 66 Last dose of Pred given, last drop of insulin shot, she's eating dinner (thanks Michelle, she listened to you)...and we're off! (and Muffin ran off to get back to the party) So looking forward to seeing what lies ahead!

Thanks everyone for being so supportive and helpful and just plain wonderful in getting us to this point (again). I know you're all just as excited as I am about this trial, and it just means the world to us!

+2 67 She spent the last 45 mins out in the back yard. I had to call her in for her test. Now she's finishing dinner #2.
 
Hey Anne...what you doing still up? I shot through Gracie's bounce tonight and she just dropped 100 in an hour...thankfully, I've been checking her every hour. Guess I'll recheck in 30. How are you and Muffin?
 
even if you were still using the alpha track, that is one pretty spreadsheet. good luck with your trial. I am so pleased for you guys. Muffin - stay out of the chocolate cake. :lol: I love that cat. I'm btb.
