10/22 Mar Lei Lantus AMPS 248, +2 146, +4.5 70

I fed him til +4 last night then I fell asleep.

I'm thinking important data would be +4, 5 and 6?
 
Oh my god I have been a terrible cat mummy today.

He didnt eat his plus 3 meal til +3.5 and then then I have only just tested +4.5 which is 70

Ive put it in +5 because its a couple of minutes over +4.5 so actually nearer to the +5 than +4

I know that is near to 68 which changes the dose.

Its so bad, ive been doing way better under much harder circumstances - navigating work and travel. So ridiculous that the day I am home I fail so miserably.

I have some intense things going on and to deal with so I keep getting lot in these, but I will simply set alarms on my phone from now on.

what do you suggest I do. I just fed him his +4 at the time of testing (+4.5)

Shall I immediately head back to him with some chicken stock too?
 
You are a great mom. Don't beat yourself up. We all have other things in live to deal with besides testing and feeding and you're doing the best you can!

If he will eat, feed him a little more at +5 and get a test at +5.5 or +6?
 
+5.5 and he is 83

Now how do we know if this is just the fact he had food so recently (within last half an hour) or that he is on the way up?
 
It's possible his nadir is around +5 and he is slowly heading up. You can take a break from feeding and testing.

I feel sure he went down to 68, I just didnt catch it with my metre
 
No stay with 2.5U. His numbers have been great on this dose. Sometimes there is a "cumulative" bounce after a few days of good numbers. He will clear it and get back to good numbers.
 
Considering how fast he is dropping, you might want to set the autofeeder for a snacks later - like +4 and +6. This is for future reference :-)
 
So I always do +1 and +2 and then depending, save food for a third and fourth feed, time dependant?
