Yesterday - Yellow All Day - Blue at night

Yep, this is the day that Luci came into our lives. She was about six weeks old at the time. One of the farmers at the market that we visit regularly told us that someone had abandoned a mama cat - a Manx - at his farm (another cat dumped at a farm)...he wonders why people think this is a good idea? As if all farmers need more cats? They do it all the time :( We'd already taken one rescue from him, our civvie Abbey, so he figures we're good for it - yes, we'd just lost our Siamese a few months before - so yes, we had room in our home for one more of his rescues. This time a black kitten - with white paws. My DH said he'd always wanted a black cat with white paws. It was a deal!

He'd bring her next week - it's getting late in the season here - and the weather is turning cold. The farmer's market will be wrapping up for the year. We picked her up the following week and well the rest is history. She's been a member of our household - and running things nicely ever since.

Sending vines to all those in need. Happy Monday everyone here in L&L land!

I’ve always wished I knew a few things about Nelli.
Where did she come from I wonder... did she jump out of someone’s car? Was she dumped? Did she run away because she wasn’t being treated affectionately, paid attention to :)? Nellie is very special, she knows that and and, would demand no less treatment as though she is!
The other thing I wonder, wonder, wonder is truly how old is she. I have gone on what this man, who would walk over to gas station every morning for coffee told me – when I asked how long she had been hanging around... he said with confidence at least eight years. I am beginning to wonder if she had only been hanging around actually for six years? Let’s say that. Well then she would be about 16 years old. I think I am going to start telling people she’s 16 ;):p:joyful:
She has been allowed to, for more than half her life be a cat. A carnivorous tough girl, strong. Let the ‘coons know not to bother her or any other bully cat :cat:. Based upon her personality there is no doubt in my mind about this :)!
The one thing I do know for certain is that she was never feral.

Sometimes people move away and leave their pets behind - I can't figure out why anyone would do that for the life of me! But I see it happening... awful...thank goodness she found you mama!!:bighug:
