Looks like it was the right decision to gravy him before I went to sleep last night. Despite the wonderful AMPS reading, he nearly quadrupled by the afternoon.
On a more positive note, I think his back legs are getting stronger. Throughout this ordeal, his hind quarter weakness has given him lots of trouble when it comes to holding himself up in the litterbox. When going poop, and that strength finally gives out, he often sits on the top of the pile, leaving me to clean poop off his butt while he growls and swats at me. Anyway, I'm proud to announce that today is Day 8 of what I'm affectionately referring to as "No Wipe Day". So I figure that if he's getting better at holding himself up, that must mean we're seeing progress. Also, yesterday I saw him speed walking from the kitchen to the living room, so I'm hopeful that we might see him start zooming again soon. He must be feeling good because he's also starting to reassert his dominance over his civvies. He's picking play fights and taking their favorite spots again. I need to go back and notate the speadsheet, but he's also sitting up again. Previously, whenever he'd walk someone, he'd immediately lie down. Now, he's comfortable just sitting up for extended periods of time. Granted, this makes test time more of a chore because I have to wait for him to eventually lie down on his own, but it's yet another sign of healing.
