Furball ate about 1/4 of a can of her normal food a little bit ago! I hope this means she will eat more later today. I went to the store and got some parmesan cheese to try. I will see how she does, but I still might try it just to see if she will eat it. Thanks for the appy vines everyone.

Yes Furball, you gots to keep eating to get better.

My vet said to only use the 1/4 Mirtazapine again in 3 days if her appetite is not up to par. Hopefully that helped and she will stabilize from here.

You are doing great Carla. Hang in there.

Furball seems to be doing better. She's been snacking some throughout the day, which is what she usually does. I did try the Parmesan cheese, but she only licked up a few pieces and didn't really seem to care.

I'd be sure she is not nauseous when you give the appy stimulant. I'm so glad she is eating and will keep paws crossed for her to continue to do so, Carla.

@ Marje - I gave Furball Cerenia yesterday for nausea because she was licking her lips and acting like the smell of food made her sick. When she still wasn't eating today, and didn't seem nauseous anymore, I gave her the appetite stimulant. Thanks for warning me about it. I could see how that would be a problem.
 
Furball is doing better this evening. She is eating her normal food and eating pretty good. Hopefully she'll still eat tomorrow because I have to go back to work. She was happy & purry this evening. I hope that means she is getting over whatever was keeping her from eating. Thanks again everyone for the well wishes and appy vines.

Sorry for the late post. I take the day to go and play and then never can get caught up at night.... Hope your day has been a good one.

I am so ahppy that Furball is eating again and feels good. Hooray for purry kitties.
 
I was glad to read that Furball got her appetite back. Paws crossed it was just a temporary thing that is now over. Her numbers are looking pretty nice today.
