You are an important member of this team, Diane. You are always offering support and helpful advice. Hope you always stay around.What a beautiful tribute to all your furbabies. I agree with you looking at them can make you sad at times, Sometimes I can't even look at Perry's Ashes and his pictures. I'm glad you are sticking around Summer, you have made a lot of good friends here and we would hate to see you leave. Everyone needs support and any advice that we can offer. Even though Tyler is in remission I just can't see me leaving here.

Please don't be sad about my Susie. She is not suffering anymore. You had your own suffering with the loss of Mr. Darcy. It hurt me too. I remember when I didn't see a post from you in a while I was fearful that something bad had happened.
That is lovely that you have a spot underneath an oak tree for your babies. I understand why it would be hard to visit.Awww...that is so beautiful Summer. You know what I see when I look at your tributes and memories? I see tons and tons of love - your tributes simply glow with overwhelming love and adoration. You are truly a kind human and caring soul to have cared for so many furbabies. It is indeed our loss as humans to have to endure the fact that they simply don't live as long as we do and we have to keep their loving memories in our hearts until we too cross over.
I have all of my furbabies in a small area out under the oak tree in our yard...it's planted with hostas but it's hard for me to visit there - I always get a lump in my throat thinking of my loss...but for them, they are out of pain and resting and probably playing in that meadow too...it's hard and will always be hard, cause that's just the way we're built.

On the bookshelf, he is the second on the right on bottom shelf. On my wall he is in the middle on the top row. He was almost all black and pictures didn't come out too well.
I know what you mean, Adrienne. People come and go on this site. I love it when it is remission. Not so good when it is a passing. Thank you for always thinking about me. Please don't worry. I am doing better every day. Mom is hanging in there. I actually have fleeting moments when I think about trying to rescue/adopt another diabetic cat that needs a loving home and all the support necessary. These thoughts are rare for me but they are always in the back of my mind. Why in the world would I ever want to take on another diabetic kitty? I think it is because so many people won't and they need loving homes, too. I am hoping to move beyond this philanthropic view and just go adopt a healthy cat but something keeps tugging at my heart strings here. I have been unable to give away all of Susie's diabetic supplies. Maybe that is because I might need them, again, someday soon.Good morning Summer. I am always thinking of you. That is the such a beautiful way of thinking Summer. So many diabetic cats that are otherwise healthy are dropped off at rescues because so many are afraid of the unknown and just don’t want to deal with diabetes, it’s scary. I never even had a sliver of a thought of giving up on Funny Face or Dolly. I wish cat owners knew about this wonderful place to get help and support. I imagine it was posting on the Facebook site that directed me here. I’ve seen so many new people gets there kitties into remission so quickly. It was just 3 months for Dolly. I became part of this group just a month after Dolly was diagnosed. I didn’t understand what it had to offer until Dolly relapsed 10 months later. Think of you often and miss Susie every day, she has a place in my heart forever. You will know when it’s time to welcome someone new, diabetic or not. They all need a loving home like yours.
