Hah, y’all! This stinker sure knows how to get me out of bed in the morning. She was so sweet - woke me up sitting next to my pillow, purring, staring at me. I gave her some pets and told her “20 more minutes, baby” and closed my eyes.
Then... then, I hear a noise oddly reminiscent of Bernie eating. SURELY, I am mistaken, as her bowl should be empty. Last night, she had food out, but didn’t eat much during her PM cycle (she was thoroughly enjoying the lemon tree I landed her in after stuffing her during her AM cycle LOL
). When I went to bed, she had 0.4oz down, and I thought she was about to eat it (she was at her bowl when I laid down).
WRONG. She hoarded it!! Who does that?! My feet hit the floor so fast, OMG haha! I quickly whisked her up and grabbed a BG before assessing the damage. Her +11.67 was 98 mg/dL (this was maybe 30 seconds after I heard her eating)!
Luckily, her remaining food weighed 0.3oz, so, at max, she snuck 0.1oz. I’m going to watch her extra closely regardless, but I would’ve shot her at 98 mg/dL, so I went ahead with her normal shot time 20 min later.
I planned out her food times throughout the day, instead of allowing her to eat her weight in chicken LMAO Hopefully, I’ll get her flat today. Time will tell!
