It was interesting to see the SS with all the bounces lately. You certainly test a lot. Does that mean you have help? Or are you just not sleeping?? :joyful:

@Mandy & Rex Thanks for taking the time to look at Bailey's SS. I would appreciate any insights you have.

I do test way too much. My daughter helps occasionally, but it's mainly me so not really getting enough sleep. I'm trying to slow down by doing the bulk of my testing in the hours leading to the nadir, then slowing down once I know she is safe.

The bounces have been dishheartening. I'm experimenting with different things to see if I can find ways to limit them. My latest theory is that the Crave food has more than the 7% calories I was told over the phone. Either that, or there is something else in that product that leads her to bounce. I'm experimenting with using just FF when she surfs to see if I can avoid the bounce.

You could try just FF for a few days then try just Crave for a few days and see if anything changes. I just read your signature that you plan to finish up Crave and switch fully to FF .. how much left do you have?

That's what I'm doing now. I'm doing a FF only trial to see if she skips the bounce. The last couple of times she bounced, we had given her larger than usual amounts of Crave in an attempt to slow her down early on in the cycle. The huge bounces caught me off guard and started the suspicion that Crave is the culprit.
Unfortunately, I have quite a bit left of Crave left (maybe 25-30?), plus I received an entire case from Amazon because I forgot to cancel my subscription so another 24.
Absolute worst case, I figure I can add little tiny bits to the FF on days when she is low so that she doesn't get hit with it all at once.

That is a good idea. I would wait a bit while you are doing the FF experiment to make sure Crave is the culprit before adding it back in.

Thanks fo that insight. That makes a lot of sense since I need to focus on trends, not individual cycles. It's so hard to get out of that mindset.
Bailey's surfing very nicely today on FF. We'll see if the trend continues.:)

@Mandy & Rex
Thanks for helping me out before. I have a question. Here are Bailey's numbers for today.
AMPS 93 +1 113 +2 88 +3 81 +4 73 +5 78 +6 79 +7 90 +10 112 PMPS 88
Does that 112 @ +10 seem out of place? Do you think that's a wonky strip, or can BG rise to +10 then drop right before PMPS?

No, I don't think it's a wonky strip. If you look at the +1, that was a 113. Lantus is known for a double dip so you may see a 2nd, smaller dip at the end of the curve, but not as low as the nadir.
