Anne got home yesterday

Zener is doing fine this morning. I've upped his cypro dose a bit so his appy is good. :lol: Today was a good amount, ate well but not frantic. We've got to get these BGs down though. Let's hope the extra drops go to good use.

OT: Anne is home! Our airport is about 10 minutes from our house so I left when the plane landed and she was ready to go when I got there. :lol: :lol:

Tillie is doing so-so. It was a long afternoon at the vet's yesterday. They had a couple of emergencies come in so we had to wait. Tillie's bloodwork was completely normal. They didn't do the ultrasound so will do it today. Still waiting for the urine culture to see if a different AB would work better. Thank you for everyone's input and support. It helps so much!

Aw, poor little Tillie! I hope the ultrasound goes well, and there's a different antibiotic that will get her back to fine mousing form.

Hi Liz. Glad to read that Zener's appetite is better today. Hopefully the slow slide down the color ladder he has started this morning will continue to more favorable numbers.

So sorry that Tillie isn't feeling well. Having her blood workup come back normal is good. Hope all is good when you receive the urine culture results and with her ultrasound today. We're sending Tillie lots of healing vines.

Zener is on the slide and eating a-ok. :smile:

We are back from the vet for Tillie. US results were grossly normal for kidneys, bladder, liver, spleen and gall bladder. Signs of IBD or possible lymphoma - same diagnosis we got for Zener a while back following ultrasound. The only difference is they can giver TT prednisolone without worry as she is not diabetic. Still waiting on results of C & S to see about changing ABs but for now - cerenia, clavamox and cypro to get her to eat. Nothing very definitive yet, so waiting on results for bacterial growth.

Sigh.....

Welcome home Anne. I bet the kitties were very happy to see you too.

Paws crossed that TT's culture shows something. Nothing worse than "normal" when you know the kitty isn't feeling that way.

Bummer bummer bummer on Tillie. Same thing we are dealing with with Gussie. I'm glad the kidneys look good, though. Sending her many healing vines. BTW, the pred has been a miracle for Gus which is saying alot because I hate steroids. ;-)

More vines heading out to Tillie this evening. I hope that the various tests will reveal what you are dealing with and that it will not be serious. And that the pred. will help her. Poor Tillie having to spend so much time at the vetty bean. I hope she gets some special treats this evening.

Thanks to all for the welcome home wishes. It's sure good to be home. Poor MamaLizBean had a very rough week and thank you all for being her support system while I was away. Zener is hanging in the low yellows and that looks so much better than the pinkies!

Our AC will check in with Tillie tomorrow morning to see what the Queen of Everything has to say about how she is feeling. At the present, we are not starting the pred, waiting on results of the C & S first to see about the AB for the UTI. Also, adding in cerenia to her med cocktail for the GI inflammation. Paws crossed this does the trick and the pred is not necessary. She is feeling a little better this evening, with improved appy and staring at the woodpile watching rodent TV - a good sign.

Wishing all a calm and drama free Monday evening.

Anne and Liz, so sorry to hear Tillie has been sick. I'm glad she had some improvement last evening. I'll be watching to hear what the AC has to say, as I remember she's always so in tune with both Zener and Tillie. Lots of prayers, healing vines and hugs from me and Maggie (GA).
