Well Ms P sure stepped up to the plate today! We haven't one of these crazy natural drops over 100 points in a while. This cat, she always keeps me guessing! Appy has been epically happy the last couple days...her enthusiasm for breffis #2 this morning was old-school gluttonous Trixie
! Of course we have snuggliness, and - huge relief - the gelcap went down on the second try this morning. Last night's gelcap had the potential to be stressful, but I managed to get it properly placed and down just in the nick of time....one more failed attempt and I surely would have been hissed at. At least she doesn't hold a grudge!
I got an awesome e-mail from my Dad yesterday...he's looking into planning their next trip to Italy! Italy has always been my parents' vacation spot, and they usually go at least once a year. They had to cancel the last two trips because last fall my Mom was diagnosed with macular degeneration in one of her eyes and that threw them for a loop (it's stable, thanks to treatment), and this year my Dad's initial diagnosis of prostate cancer (which then turned into the nightmare we are now living....prostate, stomach, and rectal cancer) threw them for an even bigger loop. We have the torture of the chemo crashes, of course, but it sounds like he is starting to feel REALLY good once he's out of the crash.
Unfortunately, though, today is chemo round 5. He should be in fine shape until this weekend, and then the crash will probably hit. It really sucks that he has to go through the extreme ups and downs, but it seems like the ups are getting better which makes the downs more manageable....I think and hope!
Anyway, with that, I have to start getting ready. Have a great day, LL!
