? 10/21 Max: 00cat - heading for remission?

Max has some yellows recently on his spreadsheet. I don’t think he is ready to go off of insulin quite yet. We do have a 0.1 unit dose, pictures in the Fine Dosing Sticky Note, that you can try next. As for testing, please test before every shot, to make sure it is safe to give insulin. I would also look for more night time or before bed tests, as many cats go lower then.
 
Hi there. I agree with Wendy that he isn’t quite ready for a trial yet. We want to see his numbers consistently under 100 . And when that happens, I’d do the 0.1 dose before stopping insulin . He had a little ways to go.
 
Thanks - a little confused. Moving to 0.1 now or keep at 0.25? He tested 281 this morning. No insulin given last night. Eating his breakfast now.
Also how does vomiting potentially affect his numbers? Someone in the house threw up yesterday but I did not see who - could have been Max. I have another cat w/different stuff going on and could also have been her. No way to know for sure. But it was a lot of vomit - three feet projectile - so must have been a lot of water involved.
 
I would stick with the .25 dose for now and wouldn’t move to the 0.1 dose until he is in all greens for 7 days or earns a reduction by going under 50. Being consistent with dosing will help get you there.

Wondering why you skipped last night? That is why you are seeing 281 today.
