I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. We have been very foggy this week, without even one break... Fall colors are still enforce, they look so different when in fog. anyways... a nice weekend! Here's what I wrote in my post last night about the day: "HI everyone! I hope your day has been good. It's been good here, rather low key but that's OK. I went to the shore early, after deciding not to hike today. It was a very foggy day again at the shore, and once again the fog has not lifted today. wow - I wonder if that is a record: 48 + hours in the fog...  I took the camera with me, Duh.... got some decent fog shots. The fungus that I took photos of yesterday has grown, ALOT in the past 24 hours.   Kinda reminds me of the Steve McQueen movie "The Blob". Anyone remember that? Maybe that really dates me...   But, sensuously (LOL!: Should be seriously!): the stuff has doubled in size. :o Took some more hots of that. It is weird stuff: very soft, moist and a creamy texture. creepy weird. I also put up some Halloween decorations, for Nicholas and William, mostly pumpkin and ghost lights. A few lighted pumpkins too. :-D and of course I had a helper. LOLA! a duh.... She batted with and played with every thing I had out. Up and cone the banister railing as I wrapped that with lights. OMG. She is one crazy mischievous fun loving kitty. I cannot help but wonder.... what one earth will happen at Christmas, with the tree?        TIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and down it will go.... " Picassa link: More Meadowdale.... in the fog....

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   I remember writing yesterday about how quiet things have been here - even with LOLA. Ann posted this great "WHAM" photo: a warning indeed that I never should think for a moment that things would remain that way.... AH Ann - where did you get hat crystal ball.... Yesterday Lola was in PRIME FORM! She had so many marathon runs going - over and over again. Bug went into hiding just to get some rest.  We had paper bags torn up here there and everywhere. We had dug up plants. We had spilled bowls. We had two torn up Kleenex boxes. We had fridge riding. We had shower door sitting. We had a pried open butter container. We had the computer turned off twice. We had the recycling in raided three times (she knows the empty cat fuds cans are in there). We had two escape attempts. We had dirt scattered from all the plants. And the best of them all? the Halloween decorations.       She LOVES Halloween lights. I wrap the stair banister with them, braided with some garlands and some ghost shaped lights. It really ends up looking fairly good, and Nicholas loves them. She thought my attempts were play stuff, so up and down the banister she went, pawing at, chewing on, knocking off, etc etc the whole time I was working with this stuff.   We had little pumpkins and ghosts scattered everywhere. well... it was all in good fun, and she sure did enjoy herself. It was SO GREAT to have an assistant. :? What would normally be an hour decor job took three, as it seemed I was always removing her or picking up what she had removed, or just playing referee.   I can hardly wait for Christmas... :o    and Bug and Elsa? They had left the building... figuratively speaking. NO way were they messing with any of it. Good kitties.... YUPP: Normalcy in MusketeerVille! cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone. I am back to having the boys just W-FR. Today I am off to get the car serviced, as it is long overdue. Something I just couldn't get too while I had them. I may hike afterwards, depending on how long the service appt takes. Paws crossed.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Awesome pictures!! Some of them are perfect for setting the mood for Halloween though! Really kind of creepy...especially the huge growing fungus! THERE'S A FUNGUS AMONG US!! SAVE YOUR KITTIES!!

(and yes, "The Blob" dates you..and me too....Could have been worse...Could have been "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"...LOL

Don't know what got into the kitties yesterday...I think yours is the 4th condo (including my own from yesterday) where kitties were really having a lot of fun...at our expense of course!! Maybe the cool fall weather has them feeling spunky?

Good luck at keeping the decorations up...sounds like it might be a full time job putting them back after Lola has "re-decorated"...guess she has other ideas where they'd look best :-D

Morning Chris ~O) ~O) ~O) THX for the visit! Thx too on the photos. I agree on that fungus - darn creepy stuff! I will laugh at "The Blob", what is funnier is that I do remember "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" too.   They simply do not make sci-fi like that anymore.... Maybe it's left-over full moon vibes that got into our kitties. Could be too on the weather. I dunno!, but am glad she has mellowed out a little this morning.  oh yes on the decor. It will be very in interesting to see what she does with it all. SO far she has left things alone today.... then again, the day is young.

I echo what Chris says, that fungus is creepy stuff. It would be perfect Halloween decorations, although maybe not inside where the kitters reside. Great fog photos. Like you, we are having lots of opportunities to experience fog. It's hanging just a couple hundred feet above our water here and is a great mood setter.

Good luck on Lola and the decorations. I am so happy Neko seems to be over her railing walking days. I was always worried she'd slip off.

Hope the car repair was relatively painless and you got out for another walk.

The fungus does look like it's spreading. I love the fog pictures. It seems like there's fog everywhere. Check out Neko's condo for my foggy morning story leaving for work one day last week.

Lola was probably thanking you for getting all of the extra toys out for her.

Hi everyone - Hope you guys all had a great day. I got the car serviced today (oil change etc), and as I as sitting there watching the fog roll in yet again I thought how nice it would be to be someplace warm and sunny. How cool these days to have phones that will tell you things like weather, and driving conditions etc... Snoqualmie Pass was only 45 minutes from where I was. It was sunny there and reported to be in the 60's today. So... on a whim I headed up there, and visited an old standby with Gold Creek Pond. It was absolutely gorgeous there! I also walked and explored a creek that merges with that, Coal Creek. That was kinda fun: walked creeks shore line. Anyways - spent a few hours up at the pass today. Sure was nice. As I was headed home the temp board up there reported it was 69. wow on that! We barely cleared 50 here, and the fog still has not left us. crazy! I will post the photos in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Rhiannon - well omg. One has to LOVE spell check! What a great typo, with an even greater spell check correction.

Hi Wendy - THX on the pics. I so concur on that fungus. major creepy stuff. I should have gone back today and see if it has grown some more. :? same her with the fog, it just is not leaving us! Oh well, it is October, and kinda normal that we are seeing so much of it. I sure wish it would clear midday though, Just not happening yet again today. THX, and LOL, on Lola. Today she has left the stuff alone. PHEW! I so agree too on the railing walking. I will be elated when she stops doing that. :-D Yes on the car - just an oil change, lube etc, and they found nothing amiss: so painless! :-D :-D

Hi Carla - THX on teh pics - I love fog shots too, fog in general. I will look at Neko's for your story. oh yes on the fog... we are so good at having lots of it in October. I think you may be right on Lola: more toys!

Great fingers of fog and blob fungus! Don't let the fungus get ya!

Lola is a beautiful kitty. It's nice that she's helping you out with the Halloween decorations. Maybe she'll be tired of it all when Xmas rolls around

Have a great evening, Michelle,

Ella & Rusty

Sounds like a good warm-up for Christmas!!! My kitties were a bit crazy last night, too. I wonder why that is...some nights, calm as can be; other nights, practically climbing the walls. I would love to know what's going on in their fuzzy little heads!

Have a great evening, Michelle!

Hi Ella :-D
Great fingers of fog and blob fungus! Don't let the fungus get ya!
I promise that I will be very careful....   THX on Lola - I too think he is a beauty 0 her marking are quite wonderful. She has the softest fur too. I can only hope that by the time Christmas trolls around that yes she is tired of it all, and that she has mellowed ten times over. How are my chances? probably not good....

Hi Amy - we seem to have alot of mischievous kitties. LOL on the Christmas warm up - I suspect there is more truth there than not...

me too! some nights are so mellow... others: NO WAY! They like to keep us guessing.

HAHA...I think that if you installed "kitty cams" and broadcast on FDMB...I'd never get anything done. I'd just watch the hilarity that takes place at your house 24/7! Happy Monday, Michelle!

Morning Deborah ~O) ~O) ~O) Wouldn't that be fun! kitty cams! I know I'd be watching too. Lola sure has livened things up here. What will she think of next.....
