Leroy has an appointment with Dr. B on Nov. 3. He's going to get x rays done too. I don't think the x rays will show much, maybe some raw food bone fragments in the tummy. I wonder how they're going to hold Leroy down long enough and from wiggling for the x rays. Leroy is such a busy body bcatrun_gif

Being at the vet hospital that day will bring back memories. It was 2 years ago that week when Squishy got sick and had to stay in the ER and got his angel wings wings_cat  Dr. B was Squishy's vet but his intern Dr. P handled the case.

Leroy arrived on Squishy's 1 year GA anniversary. I keep thinking to myself, I've had Leroy for a year now and he's already been to the ER twice and now has this mystery coughing/panting/lip smacking thing. What else is going to happen to this troublemaker as he gets older? @-)

don't you think they'll sedate him for x-rays? i would think they'd have to, but i've never had a cat need x-rays before, so don't really know. when punkin had the SRT they sedated him and they told me that they just have people hold still. you can't just get a cat to hold still, of course.

last night i got into the swallowing thing and was thinking of leroy. ohmygod_smile poor guy. i hope it clears up and is nothing.

when i've chosen new cats i've intentionally gotten cats that didn't look anything like my previous ones. don't want to forget the uniqueness of each one by getting mentally mixed up on which one did what. a new kitter never replaces your beloved GA kitty, they just get their own spot in your heart eventually.

Hey Squeem-

I know the feeling of dread when going back to a place where your previous cats passed or were very, very ill. UGH.

Good news though....my 5 months old kitten Trinket just had chest x-rays and she didn't need to be put out. I'd venture that she's just as nutso as Leroy. So....I'm betting that he'll be able to get his x-rays without being put out too.

I'm glad you got a vet appointment in the next few weeks. Hopefully, the x-rays will put your mind at ease that there is nothing wrong. After my very first kitty that I got in college got her wings, I was never able to go back to her vet. It just upset me too much to even go in there. I think I have become a little better now since I have had 3 other GA kitties, but it still hurts no matter what. I'll be thinking about you when you go to the vet and will be praying for you to have strength to get through the day.

Hello

My Siamese mix the diabetic just had x rays a couple weeks ago and was not sedated. I do think it takes two people to x ray them though. Please do keep us updated on Leroy.

I love the vet hospital, even though it's where Squishy spent his last week. Dr. B and Dr. P put a little memorial plaque for Squishy on this huge sculpture thing in the lobby. Every time I go there, even just to drop off donations at the shelter, I have to stop by the sculpture and spend a minute looking at Squishy's plaque.

aw, that's awesome that squishy merlin has a memorial plaque. i wish i'd known him. he sounds extra-special.

sending good news vibes for leroy's tests!
