I barely slept at all last night. J.D. gave me a dropping number, at a time when not only will I not be home, but he'll be locked up in the basement while the workermen replace the front doors. I BCD'd from f1.00 to f0.50.

I have 4 bowls of frozen FF and his automatic feeder. I was planning to leave 2 bowls in the basement and 2 bowls in his normal feeding area upstairs, since once the work is complete (sometime between 8:30am and 5:00pm) my neighbor will open the basement door, and I want him to have food wherever he is. I just don't know where to place the feeder. Upstairs or downstairs?

Please wish me luck and send be alright vines to J.D. for today.

I just saw that I wrote BCD'd in my Subject Line. That's how tired I am :lol: It must mean Big Chicken Dosed.

I'm hoping for a calm day for J.D. even with all the reno noise. Do you have a feliway diffuser you can leave in the basement?

It sounds like you have JD covered for today. I would leave food on all levels and where he would normally look. If the basement isn't a place he usually goes JD will most likely have fun exploring. Good idea with the BCS dose!

you have things covered (as usual), dyana. if anything, the activity will probably cause JD's numbers to rise a little.

Sounds like a busy day there! I know Tarragon rises when workers are in the house, but would probably have still done a BCS if I wasn't going to be there. Great night last night for JD. Have a wonderful day!

Hi guys .. I can see why you are nervous leaving J.D. today .. a dropping number and strange work men in the house? I am sure all would be fine .. I think if it was me, I'd put the auto feeder in the basement, just because I wouldn't know for certain what time the work men would be there and even after they leave he might be to nervous to go upstairs and explore .. I also think you made a good decision on his dose this morning. Too bad this happened with the workmen coming today. I think the automatic feeder in the basement is a good idea. Devon is right...JD will probably be too scared to go back upstairs after all the noise. Basements are good places to hide!

I did leave the automatic feeder down in the basement. I thought like you guys did, that I couldn't be sure when the workman would come and be done, so I left it downstairs. I just hope he goes up, from the stress.
I am running on lots of deep dark coffee at work today, and can't wait to get home.

Ah Kate, my young, old friend, it is always so nice to get a visit from you :YMHUG: I hope all is well, and Gwendoline is starting to let you sleep at night. :-D

I came home from work, and the basement door was open. Ginger greeted me at the door, and no J.D. I called him and looked around upstairs, and finally descended the stairs into the basement. He was laying on one the the blankets down there. When I left this morning, he seemed pretty comfortable down there. It was Ginger that I had to close the door in her face, on :sad:

So, I gave J.D. 0.05 of a brand new vial of R at PMPS. And, my neighbor has invited me to go see a "Tribute To Johnny Cash" tonight. It starts at +2, and I have to leave at +1.5 (in 5 minutes). If J.D.'s BGs aren't dropping too fast, I'm going.
My dad loves Johnny Cash. He would like to know that I went. My first concert ever, was my dad taking me to a Johnny Cash concert when I was a kid.

Here's hoping I can go.
 
I'm back. My "older" neighbor looked at the tickets when we arrived to the nearly empty high school parking lot, and saw that they are for next week :oops:
