Our one drop increase got Blackie to green last night, even if it was a just barely green 99. :mrgreen: I'm hoping that the +2.5 is not a bounce, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is. I bought those catnip banana's and Blackie isn't really interested, though two of our civies love them.

WCR: Blackie is doing fine. We had lots of lap time last night, he's eating really well and he's enjoying our Fall weather. All P's were in place this morning.

Could this be a food spike this morning..? I'm guessing that it is. Wishing for you both to have great #'s today. :) Come on down to the blue and green floors, Blackie. :) There's tons of room for you! :)

We have an appt with the vet this afternoon to aspirate the lump on Blackie's back. I am trying really hard (and I'm not very successful) to believe that it is nothing to worry about. So please send us "nothing wrong" vines.

Tons of nothing wrong vines coming! One of my civies, Sam, had has a lump on her back as well. I noticed what appeared to be her leg falling asleep on the same side twice in 2-3 weeks, so off to the vet we went. $1000 later, after referrals to internal medicine, ultrasound, etc, they decided that it looks like she tore a muscle at some point and there are just fatty deposits there now. She moves around just fine, and is in no pain, and haven't seen any further episodes. So I'm hoping for an outcome at least that good for you!

Thank you for all the "nothing wrong" vines - I think they worked. The vet only saw fat cells and a few red blood cells. He thinks its a lipoma. There is a possibility that it is a sarcoma, but without a more extensive biopsy or removing it, we won't know. And if it is a sarcoma, removing it can make it more aggressive. Also, I really don't want Blacke to go under anestheia unless its absolutley necessary with his kidney issues. So we'll just watch it and see what it does. If it gets bigger we may have to do something, but I'm hoping it will stay the same or get smaller.

I think I was so scared because we've had experience with cancer in our animals before. I really do appreciate the hand holding this afternoon. It made me feel so much better.

Oh Ele, I don't know how I missed this. I'm sorry; I would not have ignored you. So, I'm gonna send you "relax now, and don't worry" vines. Have faith that it is only a lipoma, and he'll have no problems with it. Big cyber hug to you.
