10/21 Apollo PMBG 109

Good morning. Just posted Apollo's AMBG 106.

This morning I once again gave him 1/4 a teaspoon of Miralax and a blob of vaseline under his nose before his AM feeding. I also found 2 poop logs in an old cardboard box I had left out for the cats to play in. I'm not 100% sure it was Apollo, but I have a gut instinct it was him. He has never pooped outside of the box before. I did read that he might be associating the litter box with pain due to constipation. Then again he may just still be constipated? I would have thought the Miralax and vaseline would have kicked in and helped him go easier by now. Maybe he has gone easier (in the cardboard box), but now won't go into his litter box due to these new behavioral issues. I'm so frustrated, I just want him to feel better.

I think at this point I will keep giving him the Miralax and vaseline and monitor him. I do still have half a syringe the vet gave me to give him if he was still constipated, but I'm not sure if I should use it now or just give it some more time.

Good morning beautiful Apollo! Another 'BG' day!!!

John - check out my last entry from your condo yesterday.

The ONLY suggestion I have is to move a LB away from the 'usual' area and use a different smelling litter in it. Maybe he'll decide THAT one didn't hurt him. I bet he'll go back to the original ones shortly....

Hi guys .. very nice start to the day! Sorry to hear about all the LB problems .. I would guess it was apollo who used the cardboard box probably because of the pain associated with the other box .. It's a good suggestion to move the LB and use other smelling litter for awhile .. best of luck to you guys .. have a great weekend!
 
Apollo's PMBG is 109.

Tried the other litter box and one of my other cats decided they wanted to pee in it. Unfortunately she is a side corner pee'er and totally overshot the box getting pee all over the floor. Luckily I saw it happen and was able to quickly clean it up. Fun times. :smile:
