Aside from that AMBG, we had an awesome start to the morning...lots of snuggles, Mannie Fuds Dance, good first breffis. Then came gelcap time, and it turned into one of those mornings...hisses, growling, cat fight noises. It took 45 minutes (with lots of breaks) and 4 repacks to get the stupid thing down. I so wish I knew why these moods pop up. At this point, I know I will eventually get it down so that aspect doesn't stress me; what stresses me is having it hover over my head as something that needs to be done and having her be so upset until it finally does go down. I would give my right arm to be able to inject all these meds in one fell swoop instead of having to do these stupid pills!
Anyway...it's down and we're set until the evening.
I'm not too surprised by her "+3"....because of the pilling fiasco, her last "early morning portion" of breffis was just an hour before her "+3" test...Ms P stepped in, but it really wasn't enough time for her to REALLY kick that AMBG down. Plus, we have the pilling stress in there. Since I have to work, I couldn't get a more "true" +3 reading...but at least we can see that Ms P has reported for duty.
My Dad was feeling awesome yesterday. They met up with my brother and his wife very briefly, and apparently everyone behaved themselves (I think the visit was just short/long enough so that tension didn't have a chance to build). And he ate a LOT...even more than than he did on his best/piggiest day before the cancer diagnosis (he was never a big eater to begin with, so playing "catch up" after the chemo crashes is a real challenge for him.". So, we're on an upswing. Unfortunately, Tuesday brings the next round of chemo...I think it's the 5th (I can't believe I'm starting to lose count now!). My Mom and I are planning on going to Kohl's this time while he's in the infusion chair! We won't pack the car to the gills like we did last time, but it will be more fun that stocking up on paper towels and toilet paper!
Sending out prayers to Angela and Blackie, Rhiannon and Shadow, and Deanna and Billie. Have a great day, LL!
