Aside from that AMBG, we had an awesome start to the morning...lots of snuggles, Mannie Fuds Dance, good first breffis. Then came gelcap time, and it turned into one of those mornings...hisses, growling, cat fight noises. It took 45 minutes (with lots of breaks) and 4 repacks to get the stupid thing down. I so wish I knew why these moods pop up. At this point, I know I will eventually get it down so that aspect doesn't stress me; what stresses me is having it hover over my head as something that needs to be done and having her be so upset until it finally does go down. I would give my right arm to be able to inject all these meds in one fell swoop instead of having to do these stupid pills!

Anyway...it's down and we're set until the evening.

I'm not too surprised by her "+3"....because of the pilling fiasco, her last "early morning portion" of breffis was just an hour before her "+3" test...Ms P stepped in, but it really wasn't enough time for her to REALLY kick that AMBG down. Plus, we have the pilling stress in there. Since I have to work, I couldn't get a more "true" +3 reading...but at least we can see that Ms P has reported for duty.

My Dad was feeling awesome yesterday. They met up with my brother and his wife very briefly, and apparently everyone behaved themselves (I think the visit was just short/long enough so that tension didn't have a chance to build). And he ate a LOT...even more than than he did on his best/piggiest day before the cancer diagnosis (he was never a big eater to begin with, so playing "catch up" after the chemo crashes is a real challenge for him.". So, we're on an upswing. Unfortunately, Tuesday brings the next round of chemo...I think it's the 5th (I can't believe I'm starting to lose count now!). My Mom and I are planning on going to Kohl's this time while he's in the infusion chair! We won't pack the car to the gills like we did last time, but it will be more fun that stocking up on paper towels and toilet paper!

Sending out prayers to Angela and Blackie, Rhiannon and Shadow, and Deanna and Billie. Have a great day, LL!

Poor you and Trixie with the gelcaps. I wonder what it is that tenses her up sometimes. I'm glad you finally got it down. Love the Mannie Fuds Dance.

Great news on your dad and brother. Family dynamics are always stressful. Great that your dad is eating more too. Hard to believe it is time for #5 already. Kohl's sounds like the perfect place to shop. Have a wonderful day Amy.

Hi Amy,
Trixie just wanted to keep you on your toes. After all, pilling is serious business! I hope it goes better this evening. Is there an app for pilling?

It's great that your dad is doing so well. Hopefully tomorrow's chemo will be easier on him.

Hugs and scritches. Have a good day!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Woot! Mr P is in the house. I think the BG's are understandable too. Pilling alwyas stresses all out when things don't go with the first try. Kitties feed on our stress too. Mannie always did. well, at least it's in and go to go until tonight.

Wonderful news on your dad. I am glad all is going so well for him. YAY!

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Miss Trixie. Be a good girl. Take your medicine!!! Sure wish it weren't such an ordeal for both of you.

Five! Your dad's at five. Wow. And other than the understandable carp days, he really seems to be doing well. That's good.

Here's hoping today is a wonderful one for all of you and that the chemo session tomorrow goes smoothly with few after chemo side effects. I'm sending prayers for that your way.

I feel your pain on the gelcap fiasco! How many times do we wish they understood we are trying to help them!

Yay for all the other good things from this morning - snuggles, food dances, Ms.. P appearance, clean plates, etc. :-D

I'm so glad the get-together between your DF and DB went well. Perhaps short and sweet is the way they need to keep their meetings! It does sound like his chemo experience is really paralleling Sasha's - he just gets his appy back and it's time for the next treatment! :YMSIGH: Sending lots of good chemo vines to him and moderated shopping vines to you and the DM so DF doesn't blow a gasket!

So sorry the gelcap was so stressful this morning. I'm glad your dad is doing better and things went okay with him and your brother yesterday. Keeping him in my prayers. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

I'm so sorry that you have the occasion bad pilling session. Pilling is the worst. I'm with you in that I would just rather have it all as an injectable shot. Sending easy-pilling vines for you guys! And glad to hear that your dad is feeling well and eating well. Sending good-feeling vines and positive juju for the next round. You and your mom can't have too much fun at Kohls...your dad may try to ditch treatment and stow-away in your car!!  Wishing you a great evening and lots of snuggles!
