I hope it's been a good Sunday for all of you -- I've missed checking in, but was insistent on getting an image out of Tina and Civvie's new kitty house. I have a lot of detail left, but I'm about to go OCD crazy, and need a break!!! Tina showed her appreciation by staying outside for a long time.
She is feeling very good today and it's already another fluid day tomorrow -

I took a lot of pics, but am just attaching this now so I don't waste too much time looking and picking again!! The sunlight was not cooperating for good color - the stain is a dark teak. I'm exhausted. The sisal posts are a big hit - they were fun to make. And I've already made changes since the picture. Now I'm going to relax with Tina and tell her to have another green PMPS like yesterday! Don't think she cares about that though.

Have a great evening!

WOW! Very impressive! Tina looks like she's The Queen! Love it! Luci is looking at it..and loves it too. Says it reminds her of her lanai in Florida...we'll be there soon I tell her.

Have a great evening Jan!

That is so awesome Jan, well done. Looks like its a huge hit with Tina. I'm sure she'll spend hours in there checking everything out.

I keep thinking you and Luci are leaving -- it's ok if you go to Florida, but you can't be gone from here for long at all;)
Tina likes to sneak outside at night; I'll be stalking her!
Tina Marie got a green AMPS, and we may be looking at a reduction (she has AT numbers). Wow.
I also froze the first 6 lines on my spreadsheet when I set it up, which is how I see it - I saw where you mentioned the top lines not showing as frozen when someone else looks . . .

It's updated for her highness, the senior kitty with now slight neuropathy (still improving). Now there are easier ways to get around instead of only long leaps.
She hadn't been able to go outside since the first of this year because of arthritis and neuropathy:(. She's now able to go out safely again.

It is upgraded to a Senior cat house:) I'll love it more after I recover from all my sore muscles!

Jan, what a beautiful outdoor retreat for your kitties, I'm sure they love it and appreciate all your hard work! They're such lucky kitties to be able to go outside when they want and be perfectly safe. Hope you have a great evening! :bighug: Also, Tina's numbers are just fantastic!

Jan, your catio is amazing! I’ve been telling DH we need to build one, the kitties are interested in going outside but they are strictly indoor kitties unless I can supervise them outside for ten minutes or so. They need a catio!

@Marje and Gracie - I hope you are having a nice Sunday and I feel bad tagging you. So I'm ducking down a little;)
In case you are around, do you think I should try decreasing Tina's dose from .5 units to a dose between .5 and .25? Or would you try .25?

You are not bothering me at all; I’ve been off and on the board all day.

I’d really like to see those AMPS a little lower. Here’s how we can tell if her pancreas is working and progress towards a reduction (paws crossed). Do you have an auto feeder that you can leave her a very LC snack out at about +9? If so, I’d do it and see if that brings her AMPS down. If it causes it to go up, her pancreas is not working quite enough yet. If her pancreas is working, then we can try a 0.25u decrease.

NOTE: this advice is for Tina only; we typically try it only when the dose gets low like this, the BG is looking pretty good, and the dose might be ready to come lower. Feeding a +9 snack will not help a kitty have a lower AMPS unless the kitty is in mostly normal numbers at a very low dose and/or might be headed for remission sooner rather than later. Jan....I’m not making a comment on Tina’s chances of remission; this is just a little experiment if you wish to try it.

LOVE the catio!! Great job.
