Yeaterday's late in the day condo.

Neko for a tiny bit put back on her dose this morning. And she's already charging down. Her onset seems to be moving earlier than it used to be. It used to be around +5. I've left DH in charge to see if he can get her to eat more and get a test in a few hours while I am gone,

Neko's appy is only so-so. She eats and then pauses, then eats a bit more. She's only eaten half of what I want her to this morning due to the slow process. It's hard to keep Theo out of her bowl unless I separate them but she takes forever to eat and he doesn't like to be locked away that long? Ugh! That'll be one nice thing about our trip away, I can just leave food out.

Vines to all in need, including Murphy.

I feel the civvie frustration! We have a civvie who refuses to eat if kibble isn't included. This requires an extra 15min at feeding time to wait for her to finish so Jack doesn't do a "smash and grab" as we call it. He will get the biggest mouthful he can and run off to eat away from the crime scene. They make some cool feeders that only let the designated cat eat but are kind of pricey.

Hope Neko gets some more fuds in her today and that appy engine can get going again.

Oh what we go through to police these kitties and their eating quirks. Sending appy vines to Miss Neko.

Is that the trip that just Neko is going on? Maybe her being an only child will entice her to eat. ;)

Sending more appy vines for Miss Neko and yes, it makes it all harder with a civie. She does come down nicely with just a little more juice...easy does it though sweet girl.

Neko, you're going to be a travellin' girl pretty soon. I always eat lots more while travelling than I do at home...lots more!...so how's about you eat more on the road, too. Please.

Since diagnosis Polly's always eaten behind closed French doors. With four others here at the time, it was the only way to keep the little thieves out of her food. They could body slam each other over their plates, but I didn't want them messing with the diva! Now, with Rowsie as the only competition, and they eat the same foods, Polly still wants her 1/2 hour of leisure meal privacy. Lucked out with that.

Appy vines for the girl.

Harvey was always a slow eater, unless it was something special, like tri tip, baby food or tuna water. Luckily, I didn't have any food thieves around (except him), so he was able to graze as he wanted to. Way back, we had two kitties, Max and Nemi. Nemi was a grazer and was a small cat who needed to eat more. Max was a little pig. We solved the problem by putting Nemi's food in the laundry room and installing one of those cat doors that only opens when a magnet on the cat's collar gets near. She could go in and out and he couldn't. Drove him nuts, as it was clear plastic and he could see her eating. He punished her by sitting right in front of the door and batting it closed when she tried to come out. When we moved to an apartment, we put the door on a cabinet and her food inside. That worked just fine, too.

Sending lots of good appy vines for Miss Neko.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and that your folks are doing well.

That's just the way Rusty eats: graze, eat a little more, go away and sleep, come back when I hold the bowl, graze a little more.
As long as they eat, I guess it doesn't matter how long it takes.

Have a good trip tomorrow, Wendy, and a great regatta. Neko, behave yourself on the trip!

I guess the sun wasn't the only yellow thing in the solarium today. I'll put it down as NDW. I am curious to see what she does tonight. Last couple of times she's gotten fluids she's headed for the lagoon that night. Appy is always a little better after fluids anyway. I put her down on a heat reflectant pad for doing fluids. She stayed there, long after I was done the fluids. :) I think she likes it.

Busy day today. After the visit on the island it was down to the cove to help load boats. Now I'm organizing and packing - much more work to get Neko's stuff together than mine of course. I am not sure how much I'll be on the next three days, though I will try to keep her SS updated.

Best of luck on your trip. I hope Neko behaves and eats all her fuds for you so you can have a good time with no worry.
