Good Morning and Happy Saturday to LL! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Leo had a bounce recovery yesterday around PMPS and hit some nice blues, and nearly a green, but up to Stinky Pinky this morning. The bouncing from his trip isn't very bad but still a rolling bounce. He's doing much better and hung out at the back door a while last night, whacking his tail on the ground. Something was out there but we don't know what. But likely a small creature he was interested in eating.

Yesterday Leo's Nanners arrived!
Thank you Auntie Michelle and Auntie Ann for telling mamabean about nanners! I chewed it and rolled on it and I LUBS it! Mannie, these tings rock! You have excellent taste, my man! ~Leo

A video is worth a 1000 pictures (especially of Leo). Here are his first few minutes when he figured out that he LIKED HIS NEW NANNER!

Leo Inspects his New Nanner - Youtube (60 sec)

Today is Leo's Xanax trial. I'll do it late afternoon so I should have something to report by our PMPS update. Please send calming vines to Leo that the Xanax calms him and doesn't turn him into a ferocious evil cat. Paws crossed.

I'm sorry I didn't make it around all the condo's the last couple days. Our adventures, my errands, and my exhaustion are in play. Today is very busy - I have to make up work I missed, and run more errands.

Healing, calming, and peaceful vines to all.

Morning Lisa and a big awww.....with the video of Leo and his nanner. He sure loves it. He sure does look like his sis, Maggie. Sending many calming vines for the Xanax Trial. I sure hope this is the one that will help him and make things easier on your next trip. Mags is bouncing today, too, keeping Leo company. Have a nice day and don't forget to get your Vebti order in for Mannie.

Leo, get ready, Mannie is picking everyone up in the bus for our trip to Colorado for FurBall's OTJ party. See ya soon, Mags

Good morning Lisa and Leo. You just LUB your nanner...so adorable. It must have some cat nip in it for the luves.

Hopefully you are getting some sort of rest and we will be praying that the Xanax helps make travels for your little guy better.

Love the video. Reds seem to abound today. Sending you calming and productive vines.

Thank you all! Leo has played with his Nanner, and also his new Turbo Scratcher!

We tried the Xanax and it's not going to work. He didn't calm down at all. If anything, he seemed more jumpy and a little aggressive - not biting or mean, but just zipping around and play biting. He didn't want to come when I called for testing, and growled a little when I tested. So, looks like this isn't going to work. Sigh. After about 4 hours, it was easier to test him, which I think is consistent with the dose wearing off. RATS!

We go back tomorrow afternoon. I wish I had another solution. I am dreading this. I've put Rescue Remedy on a treat and given it to him the last couple times. Maybe Thursday was just a bad set of circumstances with the duration, the loud and bright trucks, etc.

Leo is off having fun at Fur Balls OTJ party and I hear it's a blast!

That video of Leo and his nanner is so cute. I'm sorry the Xanax isn't going to work for Leo. Hopefully you're right and this last trip was just because of the crazy circumstances and your next trip won't be so bad.

I must be hallucinating because I thought I posted in your condo today after watching that adorable video! He is so handsome and he loves that NANNER!

Gracie couldn't take Xanax either....she was like a little toy wound up too tight. I don't remember if you've tried feliway...there is a spray you can out on blankets, beds, in the carrier. Or how about catnip? Mine go wild over it and then they zonk out.

Ok Leo...enuff drama with the bounce. Lets clear it so we can see where you be with this dose!

@Carla - I hope you're right. We'll see tomorrow, won't we!

@Marje - I believe you cautioned me about the Xanax when I first got it. Sounds like Gracie and Leo feel the same way about it. Leo likes his catnip - I never thought about tiring him out before hand. That's a thought. As for the spray, I got Nature's Miracle Calming Spray. I've sprayed it in there every time. There were several at the store and they all looked pretty similar. But I don't think they had the Feliaway. Do you think it would be any different/better?

I did have a thought though. I have 3-4 pee pads in there and they have a little scent to them. I got the least scented ones I could find, but I wonder if that bothers him at all. Not like I have a lot of choice, if all the others are more scented. Unless I just used towels and resigned myself to some more significant messes.

Smooth and calm trip vines for tomorrow.
I was also going to suggest catnip. I always sprinkle some on shadow's scratching pad and she goes and licks it off and then kinda
zones out. Same with putting it on the bed at night if she's wasn't hanging out. at least half the time she would decide to stay.
Maybe a little before the trip and then put some in the kennel. They also make a catnip spray that might help on those pads unless
it contradicts the smell the pads already have.

I also wonder when traveling at night and there are too many car lights around if covering the kennel with a light sheet to block it all out
like blinders on a horse. Maybe if you can't see out, nothing to do but lay down and snooze.
Shadow is a hider....
When we had to stay in a hotel ( evacuated from our town) ... Shadow couldn't find a good hiding place at the hotel.... can't get under
the bed. I would put my knees up and she lays on my feet under the sheet/blanket and she thinks she's safer there so now I know
to make her a tent where she can't see them and thinks she's hidden.
The only other thought I have is for you to start sleeping in the same tshirt or something that Leo can have, maybe not until after
all orifices have evacuated for the trip. But afterwards, something that comforts him , your smells to lay on and the lack of visual
stimulation.

Paws crossed that it gets better.

The feliway might make a difference. I don't know...ECID. I wonder if diapers would work? Ni buy seventh generation I scented diapers to clean up pukus. If you pick up the solids and then put the absorbent side down and pound the he double hockey sticks out of it, it soaks up the liquid. But my point is...they are unscented.

Have a safe trip tomorrow.
