Yesterday's Condo

J.D. must have had some lower numbers yesterday, while I was at work.

J.D. ate his 1st breffis and is currently laying in his beds.

Tomorrow is going to be stressful for me and my cats. One of our condo associations (yes we have two) has decided to replace our outside doors with new self shutting and self locking doors, and will also be replacing the hinges on the inside front doors with new self shutting hinges. Sounds like a bunch of slamming doors to me. Anyway, they asked everyone (hundreds?) to take the day off of work? and to be home from 8:00am until 5:30pm. I can not. So, I asked my neighbor to watch for the workmen and when they are done, to please open the basement door, so my cats can come back upstairs. Their litter boxes are already down there. I will leave the lights on, and have bowls of food and water and every kitty bed I can think of down there. I'll also have their usual food upstairs for when the work is complete.
I just hope it's all done very quickly, in the early morning, and my cats can be upstairs where they belong for the rest of the afternoon.

Let's hope those self closing hinges are the type that close slowly, not the slammers! It does seem rather unreasonable to expect everyone to be able to take off from work! I hope all goes well.

J.D., come down from that bounce, please.

Hi guys ... looks like a rise all night .. now we are back to pink .. come down from there J.D. .. I hope the work get's done early at your place as well .. and I also agree, asking 100's to take a day off work seems pretty crazy .. I hope the kitties aren't to stressed .. have a great day!

Craziest thing I've heard for a condo association to expect everyone to take a vacation day for installation of doors. Hope the slamming isn't too bad and the kitties will be back upstairs where they belong. J.D., please come off of the pink floor and try not to be too stressed today!

No, and if they were planning to, I'm sure they would use it as an excuse to raise our dues :roll: again. I always imagine a bunch of condo owners with nothing to do, walking around mad and bored like a bunch of zombies, when they do this.
Although, I wouldn't have minded taking tomorrow off, I can't as one of my employees asked for tomorrow off 2 months ago, and I can't leave my department stranded.

I was thinking, on my way home from work, that maybe I should lock them in the bedroom instead, but then thought of the carpet :roll: that would be torn up from Ginger trying to claw her way out. I'll opt for the basement.

Oh, I hope tomorrow goes okay, with J.D., and that the doormen are done and finished early.
