10/2 Tucker: dose adjusting post bounce?

Well...
The spreadsheet tells the story: after yesterdays +6 of a lovely blue 85 to a pmps of 158, following Sue's advice I gave 2u with his 5mg pred dose. He was 223 at +2 so I went to bed thinking he would go up from the pred and decreased insulin.
Amps today was 225. Love to know what his #s did overnight!
Gave 3u, +4/177, +6/242, +8/295.
Too much insulin or too little or bouncing?
And how to dose next in this crazy cycle!

PMPS was 249 and I gave 3 units. Second-guessing myself though, thinking I should have stayed with 2 or 2.5.

Sorry I was not around, Jen. I don't know what to tell you. Yes, his cycles are weird (although I like the downward trend) I think, because of the pred, I'd just err on the side of caution when you can't monitor and be a little braver when you can. The goal is to get him in lower ranges, which is happening, so things look good to me.

Took a look at Tyler's spreadsheet. He is looking pretty good. I like the flatter cycle and the blue nadir. Nice job!
