Lookin' like Tip did an all day slide today. I'm wondering what she's going to do tonight.

And I'm thinking That next time I have free I'll call about getting that test run since she is over 6 units of insulin. About how much should I expect it to cost?

I don't have an answer.
Just checking in on you and liking that start for tonite.
Hope Tip can slide down into some nice low blues for a while...

It's alright. :) I'll try to remember to ask the vet tomorrow when I go to step up an appt for Christmas. She's still losing weight(though real slowly, ~.75lbs every month) and though it's slow, she's not gaining it, otherwise acting fine. Figure it'd be good to get a hold of the vet again.

That'd be nice for sure. Thanks for checking in on me though. :) I'll be getting a +4 now, so we'll see.

Nice start with the blues tonight. Hopefully that +2 is a food spike and she'll continue on down.

Is that the acromegaly test you are thinking of? I don't think the test itself is that expensive, but there is the cost of the blood draw (whatever your vet charges) plus shipping costs as it has to go to Michigan State U. The MSU website says $52 for the test itself. Telling you what I paid isn't useful because the shipping costs from Canada include cross border paperwork that made the entire cost a lot higher. It is might be worth asking your vet for an estimate. I've heard from someone else in the US that they paid around $150 so that should give you a ballpark. Good luck!

Seems like she doesn't want to come down yet. ): I've tried to make it sound cozy for her!

Yeah, that's the test I'm thinking of. Ah, alright. So hopefully it doesn't cost TOO much since I live so close to Michigan. Alright, so I may or may not be able to afford it this week, but maybe at the end of the month. I'll still ask for an estimate since sometimes my vet gives me 'frequent flier' discounts since my family has been going there since before I was even born. :o
