Weird day. Tink had some low numbers yesterday morning, but started out low and didn't go THAT low, just did it too quickly, resulting in my taking a couple hours off work to make sure he didn't go hypo on me. Last night's preshot was higher than I expected, I suspected maybe a mini bounce? He surfed blue last night... then higher again this morning - and even higher tonight. Seems odd. He did have a bit of a drop last night... but he's had similar drops without bouncing that much.

Anyone see something I dont?? Not sure what to make of this. He had so much blue/green on 3.25u & 3.0u (but then was going TOO low), but not seeing as much good stuff on 2.75.

Re: 10/2 Tink AMPS 180, +2=238, +11=344 why so high?

Hi there

All Ps in place? Appetite normal? ketones negative?

Did you check the trash for an empty pizza carton? ;-)

It's possible he continued to drop last night after the PM+5/138.

Might not be a bad idea to sprinkle some tests throughout the PM+7 ------>PM+11 end of the ss.

Given that this dose got Tink into the 50's yesterday, I'd put on the patience pants for a bit. In addition to Sandy's points and the reaction to fast drops (and yes, cats don't like to be consistent), there's also the phenomenon of the high before the low. I'm curious to see what he does tonight.

Re: 10/2 Tink AMPS 180, +2=238, +11=344, PM 336, +2=295, +4=

Tonight continues to be oddly high. And oddly up and down for a high. Up at +11, down slightly at PS, down more at +2, then way up at +4, before any additional meals. Now I need to feed, which I always hate to do on such a high number, but I can't starve the poor guy. Hopefully he doesn't decide to go too crazy in the morning. Even if he did drop lower last night, this is the longest bounce he's had in ages. Very odd.

All Ps in place (well, he never really plays... but the rest are there) - though he's becoming increasingly difficult to get blood from. He is starting to get awful squirmy. His left ear rarely bleeds for me - I don't know if it's the angle or what - but I rely heavily on the right. Doesn't seem scarred or anything... just hard to get blood from. It has been cooler lately, maybe time to pull out the rice sock. If I get JUST the right spot, it bleeds easily - but the "spot" seems to routinely move!

Haven't found any carb contraband - so yeah... not sure why we're flyin' so high. I guess a butterfly must have sneezed in Africa or something.
