Max ate his Gerbers but is acting weird. I found him in the den this morning. He comes in there with me each morning while I load his lantus and after to be brushed but not usually otherwise. I found him there late last night as well. I was going to give him some ondansetron but forgot until after he got his gelcap. So I'll hold it and give some later or tonight if he seems to need it.

Vines and prayers to all in need.

I'm glad Max ate this morning and hope it continues without issues today. Did you ask him what he was doing in the Den? I hope you are taking care of yourself Elise with all the stress and worry you have. Always sending vines and prayers for little Max man and your mom. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

At least he is eating for you. It always makes my radar go up when I find them changing their sleep habits. Hope he is okay. Sending vines.:bighug:

All of a sudden my Relion Micro meter won't draw in the blood. I've wasted several strips trying. I tried changing the battery. It lit up with both the old and the new and acts right but just won't sip up the blood. Do they wear out? I have backups, an Arkray and a One Touch but tons of strips so I guess I need a new one. What's the difference between the Micro and Confirm? Any ideas what happened?

Not sure if meters wear out, but you never know. Poop and feel better vines for sweet Max. Trix does odd things at times, too. Today she was sleeping in Frankie's bed - I've never seen Trix in that bed before! Sending along prayers....

Yikes! Now that's a spooky thought! Glad you had a back up meter and wow, fantastic customer service is right!
Hoping his tummy ache resolves itself with a litter box trip! Are you upping the miralax?
Hugs and yay for great customer service!

Yes, I've upped the Miralax an additional 1/8. He already gets 1/4 twice a day.

I even told Relion it was for a cat. She made me test myself twice. Had me open another new box but she is sending me a box to replace them.

They are replacing the meter and strips? Wow
And ouch! Hoping your BG checked out ok and if it wasn't reading so sorry about the two pokes!

What's the difference between the Micro and Confirm?

Just for future reference, the Relion Confirm and Micro use the exact same strips...the only difference is the size of the meter itself....Also, the Arkray Glucocard01 is the exact same meter as the Confirm, so you can use the same strips in it as you do in the Confirm/Micro

It's the same with the Micro but if you ask them they say they are different. So to be safe I've used the ones designated most of the time.

I gave him a little ff turkey to see if he would devour it. He didn't. I just don't want him to continue dropping while I'm out. He drank the juice and ate a little. I've got a gelcap ready with ondansetron for tonight. I'll leave a little food just in case.

Piling on the poo and appy vines. Hopefully, if one issue resolves, the other will, as well, since they are usually related.

My cats would often surprise me by doing something uncharacteristic, too, and it always worried me, but it was usually just a passing thing.

Sending vines, prayers and :bighug:s.

Well he drank the rest of the liquid on the plate I left him. I gave him gerbers after his gel cap with amlodipine and ondansetron. He followed me into the den and is back to sleep. I need to give him his fluids soon but hate to bug him. No pee or poop in the box. Of course less pee is worrisome too.

I once bought some "Confirm" strips at Wal-Mart. Each of the strips in the container was labeled "Arkray." Yes, I suspect they're interchangeable!

Max. Please. Eat and Poop. Or vice versa.

Polly will throw some surprises at me, too. I look for her in her usual office condo or bedroom cat tree and find her on the chair in the living room. Often times, at least here where we have identifiable seasons, the shift from one season to another can bring out changes in our cats, too.

I got the prayers heading steady your way Elise. Always.

Marilyn and Polly

Yeah they are....I've used both the Relion strips in my Arkray meter and the Arkray strips in my Relion Confirm and Micro meters without having any problems

Come on now Max...eat your fuds and then leave mama a big present in the LB....that's not too much to ask!
